Sr. Product Manager

We are seeking for a Sr Product Manager to lead global hotel initiatives and define, build, and operate the best online products in the industry. This role will deliver quality products and solutions to customers by understanding product strategy and customer needs, supporting the development of business cases, developing business requirements, and supporting product development and deployment.


EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Development of World-Class Global Products and Services
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities for 9 global sites.
• Build and lead a cross discipline team to deliver and manage products (e.g user experience design, business analysis, technical). Team could be more than 20 people.
• Gather and analyze feedback from the market, the field, strategy, marketing, and development
• Define market problems
• Build deep understanding of our customer profiles and needs
• Leverage market and competitive knowledge to identify opportunities and drive product improvements
• Assess product opportunities
• Create solutions, leveraging both internal assets and strategic 3rd party partnerships
• Define product roadmap and priorities
• Lead the creation of requirements and user stories for new product features
• Drive the development of new features/solutions across cross-functional teams (e.g. design, development, marketing)
• Coordinate market testing of new features
• Become an expert on other products in the marketplace
• Develop communications for internal executives, the field, customer care, and guests for product rollouts
• Manage product success metrics
• Create and manage Comprehensive Project Plans which include resource plans, timelines, dependencies, scope, estimates, budgets, issues, risks and risk mitigation plans, business process changes and other operational needs to bring and maintain a product in market.
• Develop documentation such as presentations and status reports for audiences from executive level to project team and directly to properties globally.
• Lead procurement efforts as needed (e.g new tools, new vendors), write statements of work and manage external vendors


CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
REQUIRED:
Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

• ~ 8+ years product management experience
• Passion for online products
• Entrepreneurial attitude, willing to take risks
• Natural ability to relate to customers and prospects
• Ability to work with different people across a team effectively
• Excellent understanding of at least one line of business, and previous exposure or experience with managing products
• Experience estimating and managing budgets over $100,000
• Experience managing software development for the web
• Global web experience for different languages and markets is a plus
• Experience managing front-end web and/or mobile initiatives
• Experience with SDLC methodologies
• Experience with Microsoft Office - excel and PowerPoint are a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Excellent documentation skills
• Very detail oriented and organized
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with ability to interpret and translate data into key learnings
• Excellent consultative, listening, communications and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively with peers and senior execs
• Critical thinker with excellent judgment and strong initiative
• Experience in demonstrating leadership/influence and collaboration in a matrix-managed environment, and across multiple and diverse groups


EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
• BS/BA degree required
• MBA a plus
