Sr. Product Manager

The ideal Product Manager is part business/consumer lead, part designer, part developer. You are also very good at making sure stuff gets done and that your team remains engaged and passionate about the project. You sleep, eat, and breath the product and are always seeking new ways to improve it.

As a PM, you are there from the beginning to end and are the undisputed product expert. You are comfortable working directly with researchers and designers to help define the project’s vision and goals. You’re passionate about organizing the product structure, and reviewing concepts and wireframes on a daily basis. You are familiar with engineering-speak and are able to align the dev team and help set up product sprints.

As the PM you are responsible for launching and measuring the product. You constantly monitor the success of the product, read data and look for areas to make it better. You have a thorough understanding of the design process and agile systems, and are able to communicate and work with researchers, designers and engineers in an efficient and productive way.

Major Areas of Responsibility Include:

• Lead discovery and definition of digital products that are desirable, usable, and feasible

• Listen and observe users and customers. Develop empathy for their challenges, behaviors, and attitudes.

• Work intimately with designers and developers to refine and build products and features

• Identify and analyze metrics in order to track the success of the product

• Research and understand industry trends and technology. Develop cogent points-of-view on emerging technologies and competitive products.

• Communicate and advocate product benefits and findings to stakeholders

Desired experience and expertise:

• 5+ year of industry experience in product management and/or digital product design

• Strong organizational, written, verbal and visual communication skills

• Comfortable working with high-level decision makers, including senior executives

• Enjoy collaborating with designers and developers

• Incredible problem solving skills

• Strong user/customer orientation

• Strong leadership skills. People respect you and want to follow your lead.

• Agile experience

• Prior experience working with retail and/or consumer sites/applications
