Sr. Product Line Manager, Equipment

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and communicate the global merchandising plan and vision to members of Senior Management for approval – including long and short term goals, and global brand product strategy
• Ensure proper merchandising resources are employed to execute against brand strategy
• Create and implement merchandising strategies – including line pricing, product flow, product segmentation and product differentiation across all categories
• Develop color strategies and to create a cohesive and merchandisable product line
• Develop and implement systems, processes and procedures to ensure product and timeline integrity
• Oversee the seasonal product briefing process across all categories
• Ensure seamless interaction is established to deliver a product line that is designed, developed and manufactured to meet product requirements, market needs, margin goals, and calendar timelines
• Maintain positive open lines of communication with all management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization
• Present merchandising strategy, prototype concepts, designs and products to key retailers, business unit meetings (BUM’s), sales force and internal personnel in order to develop new product line offerings
• Manage, recruit, train and develop equipment staff - provide performance related feedback on an ongoing basis, as well as conducting Performance Evaluations and recommending merit increases.

Specific Job Skills and Requirements:
• Solid business management and product management skills
• Strong understanding of the consumer, retail environment and competitive marketplace
• Thorough PC knowledge and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
• Verbally deliver product presentations to staff, media, retailers, sales force and large groups
• Express complex concepts and technical material in written format
• Identify/evaluate problem areas and recommend effective solutions
• Lead a team of people and inspire them to a common goal
• Strong leader, communicator, analytical thinker and have the ability to build team dynamics and relationships cross-functionally
• Work under pressure and meet strict timelines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Requires frequent and extended travel, both domestic and international
• Ability to lift and carry sample bags up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines
