Aquent's Fortune500 client in Framingham, MA is looking for a Sr. Print Production Planner for a 3-month contract (40/hrs, 5 days, onsite) with potential to extend beyond.

Overview:
The Senior Production Planner is responsible for setting, managing, and meeting all TJX Marketing objectives by coordinating and purchasing print materials for all assigned projects. This position will set expectations and be pro-active in opening doors for creative development through researching production capabilities and providing these options to the team. The Senior Production Planner will produce a variety of projects ranging from large format signage to newspaper/magazine, FSI, collateral, Gift Cards and direct mail pieces. This role will interact with the brand team, project management, creative, studio and art buying to ensure that all production deliverables meet the requirements of the brand and TJX quality standards. As Senior Production Planner, you will offer technical training and expertise, and be extremely resourceful within and outside your department. The Senior Production Planner is responsible for keeping up to date on production processes, technologies and suppliers. This role has a primary role in facilitating the ongoing expansion of skills and services as the needs of the business evolve and grow.


Major Areas of Responsibilities
- Responsible for all print production activities on assigned brand beginning with concept and following through to execution. Partners with creative to determine the best way to produce project components ensuring they are on-time, on-budget, and of the highest quality standards. Writes detailed spec sheets and partners with outside vendors to gather pricing and create estimates. Works closely with studio supervisor to ensure that files are built to exact specifications ensuring best practices are followed. Reviews all layouts and mechanicals prior to release. Responsible for accurate color correction and review of all proofs prior to printing to achieve desired result.
- Travel to and from all press approvals ensuring color accuracy, quality printing, proper folding, packing and shipment of product to destination. Attend all 4-color press checks - Review press sheets while on press, adjust color, spot check fulfillment for proper folding, gluing and packing. Coordinate and attend all store walkthroughs - this includes organizing all components for walkthrough with studio and brand team. Responsible for the set-up of walkthrough with creative team and brand team. (Domestic and international)
- Required to stay at the forefront of trends in production and digital pre press to bring solid, soft proofing and digital asset management solution to creative team and the brand team to improve workflow and provide savings. Negotiates with outside resources to provide innovative solutions ensuring creative expectations are met working within budget constraints.
- Ensures timely delivery of materials by working with project managers to create production schedules and ensuring all dates are adhered to. This includes daily status check with vendors on the progress of a job, obtaining timelines, ship schedules, proofs of project to be reviewed, as well as proof of delivery to final destination. Manage communication with stores using internal Services Now portal tracing seasonal signage shipments and delivery. Discusses potential concerns and determines production efficiencies.
- Collaborate with creative team, and brand team on digital and video signage developments and implementation in TJX store nation wide. You’ll need to lead the production, over see the content in the proper format and delivery on time and on budget.
- Special projects as assigned. Mentor and train Production Planners as requested.
