Sr Media Planner

A top-notch ad agency is looking for a Sr Media Planner to join their fast-paced team. This role will start as soon as the right person is found, and will convert to perm in 90 days. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the media space (both digital and print/broadcast media) and media research tools. S/he will be fully engaged in the complete planning and activation process, from RFP development and plan presentation to campaign implementation and billing management.

Responsibilities include:

- Assisting the Supervisor in advising clients on best ways to integrate media into their advertising and marketing programs
- Activate on brand needs for print, TV, radio, OOH, digital, and mobile
- Provide syndicated research support during development of Objectives & Strategies and media plans
- Write POVs as needed and evaluate new media vehicles and outlets
- Maintain media budgets by keeping abreast of all invoice, billing and delivery issues; knowing when to escalate discrepancies to supervisors
- Oversee the work of Assistant Media Planners/Interns, ensuring that all deliverables are error free before they are submitted to Supervisors or clients

MUST-HAVES:
- Experience in at least two full planning cycles (development/implementation) for a vertical or niche brand(Finance, IT, Technology, Pharma, etc)
- Pharmaceutical and Healthcare experience preferred
- At least 2-4 years of media planning/buying experience
- Strong media vendor negotiation experience
- High comfort level with online research tools such as Doubleclick DART, IMS, SRDS, SQAD, Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, MARS, etc
