Sr. Marketing Manager

Our client, a higher education company, is looking for a contract Sr. Marketing Manager for a 3-5 month project. This will be full time hours and onsite at their office in Westwood.

The Sr. Marketing Manager leads development and manages implementation of strategic marketing plans working under the direction of the Director of Integrated Marketing, and partnering with key stakeholders and other assigned departments and projects. This includes responsibility for developing, writing and presenting marketing plans, as well as all creative and media briefs, to guide the strategy and execution for marketing campaigns. This may include, but is not limited to print advertisements, all collateral including catalog, brochures and flyers, digital marketing including websites, social media, email campaigns and content creation, novelty items and event support. Sr.Marketing Manager oversees approval for all materials produced in support of their campaigns.

Integrated Marketing and Strategic Execution (70%)
- Develop annual strategic marketing plan(s) with enrollment goals, strategies, tactics, and budget
specifically for assigned program department(s), working in conjunction with the Marketing Director. Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of assigned department goals, certificates, courses, and targets to identify and recommend opportunities and execute effective, impactful, and relevant marketing campaigns.
- Develop creative and media briefs, and lead kickoff meetings to initiate work. Shepherd project through execution and approval process working with Project Management and Creative Team.
- Working with the Marketing Research Manager and Senior Analyst, provides results of reporting,
analyzing and making recommendations for future strategic and tactical direction. Present findings and make suggestion to Marketing’s senior personnel. Translate feedback, input, and research from program department(s) into actionable marketing opportunities.
- Provides ongoing strategic marketing consulting to the Integrated Marketing Director about each assigned project and program as needed, recommending strategies for different programs with supporting tactics. Define departmental goals and metrics, and working with the Director of Analytics & Insights, review outcomes and continually and quickly optimize marketing campaigns.
- Interact with agency partners and vendors in producing marketing projects. Source and recommend vendors for marketing projects.
- Ensure that marketing strategies for each program department conforms to institutional strategy and are on brand. Oversee the social media presence of assigned program department(s), and ensuring adherence to institutional social media guidelines.
- Proactively seek cost-effective marketing solutions and innovation, always taking into account use of the digital channel. Liaise with PR/Social Media Manager to ensure thorough integration of public relations and social media.
-Serve as department point person for instructor interviews/commentary, student testimonials or CE/Program representative input, coordinating as needed with the PR/Social Media Manager.
-Identify new and innovative ways of communicating with existing and prospective students as well as potential marketing and business opportunities for assigned programs and projects.
- Monitor and analyze market trends that are relevant to their assigned program department(s). Develops and presents competitor analyses always staying updated on trends in the evolving continuing education landscape.

Project Management (30%)
-Prepare online and offline campaigns.
- Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are produced on time and on budget.
- Review all proofs and marketing materials for accuracy and adherence to schedules.
- Manage approvals, from setting up kickoff meetings to consolidating feedback from key stakeholders and ensure that changes are made to projects in progress. Elevate issues and delays to Marketing Director.
- Oversee and follow brand guidelines.
- Communicate costs and give cost estimate to senior marketing personnel for approval.
