Sr Marketing Manager - Display Strategy and Performance Media

The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Display Strategy and Performance Media role is a key position within the Digital Marketing team of the ecommerce division. This role responsible for the overseeing and managing global online display strategy and performance media channel for all online brands globally. This involves strategic and creative development of direct response display programs, and implementation of these initiatives to motivate customers to transact online and in store. The Senior Manager, Display Strategy and Performance Media will manage the agencies overseeing digital marketing display programs and continually improve upon the return on investment of each consecutive initiative.

Desired skills:
1. Experience successfully managing agencies and consultant resources with demonstrated understanding of and proven implementation of analytics best practices.
2. Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to drive the evolution of a program through the application of data insights.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Demonstrate strategic insight to develop long term execution plans from brand’s stated business objectives and implement those plans.
5. Display organizational and leadership capabilities to track progress, execution and consistency of program

Type of background you are looking for:
4. 4+ years of business experience, preferably in online marketing.
5. 3-5 years of Online Media Planning/Buying experience, preferably at an agency or online retailer.
6. 4+ years of business experience, preferably in online marketing

Top 3-5 required skills

1. At least 5 years direct marketing or digital marketing experience, with a proven track record of developing and implementing display and/or digital marketing direct response programs.
2. Vast knowledge of online display programs and campaigns including real-time bidding for digital ad inventory based on the company’s directed targets and value estimates.
3. Detailed knowledge of how an online trading Desk works with media - ad exchanges, networks, and publishers, technology providers- ad servers, optimization engines, and the like, and data providers- including demographic, social, and behavioral data providers to improve performance
4. Detailed knowledge and experience working with the technology tools and stacks used to manage online media campaigns. Similar to, and including, internal media trading desks, DMPs, DSPs, SSPs, CRM Data Onboarders and DART DFA technology.
5. Proven success in utilizing analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete actions

Top 3-5 daily responsibilities:

6. Develop the strategy and media planning for direct response display and performance media marketing programs with a focus on driving positive, incremental return on ad spend.
7. Responsible for overall day to day relationship and project management of external media buying and data management agencies.
8. Continually review campaign performance, develop optimization recommendations and ensure campaign recommendations are implemented (either directly or through agency).
9. Manage a multi-million dollar marketing budget, tracking monthly performance to effectively and efficiently allocate spend.
10. Provide decision making support for business partners by working with the team to define problems or desired outcomes, determine required information, synthesize findings, and recommend action

Software skills:
3. Working business knowledge of Javascript, tracking pixels, modern web browsers, XML data feeds, partner tracking and data exchange.
4. Experience in site analytics tools: Omniture, Google Analytics, Marin Software, Google AdWords.
