Our client is looking to hire a Senior-Level Marketing Communications Consultant/Writer for a 3+ month contract role in Richardson, Texas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience writing and editing a variety of external/internal corporate marketing communication pieces and will have strong project management skills—including working with legal/regulatory departments. Must be articulate, professional, and able to work well with cross-functional teams. This is an excellent career opportunity to work for a major healthcare company and could extend after the initial 3 months. Writing samples from a corporate environment required.

POSITION DETAILS
• Leading the development, review and creation of audience-specific marketing/sales product literature, newsletters, and other communications used in selling and retaining accounts and educating existing and potential customers.
• Researching, writing, editing and assisting in coordinating the production and publication of materials in print and/or electronic formats.
• Working with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Product and Market Research to create and develop promotional plans.
• Work with department manager on special projects that may cut across product lines.
• Assist Marketing and Sales staff to determine the most effective ways to convey the key benefits/features of our client’s products to variety of audiences. Evaluate end result and assume responsibility for recommending any changes.
• May chair and/or serve on various communications committees. (Should position extend past 3 months)
• Work with Product Management and Legal to ensure collateral materials comply with federal and state legislation, brand regulations, and minimize exposure to litigation.
• May work with external consultants/vendors, communications/marketing agencies, translators, photographers, fulfillment houses, and designers to develop content for newsletters and literature and manage the review, production, distribution, and budgetary processes.
• Keep track of usage and inventory for all literature within his/her purview.
• Arrange for documents to be posted to the Intranet and for translations of materials to other languages.
• Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
• Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
