Sr. Market Research Specialist /Manager

Our client is looking for a Sr Marketing Research Specialist/Manager. This is an onsite contract to permanent opportunity.

The ideal talent will be responsible for but not limited to:

Responsible for supporting end-to-end consumer research initiatives supporting enterprise and marketing's strategic needs. This includes serving as a day-to-day liaison with key departments & business units to appropriately identify core research needs and integration of relevant consumer insights consistent with overarching strategic themes. Uses both primary and secondary research to develop, analyze, synthesize and communicate actionable insights to key stakeholders. Assists with developing, communicating, and implementing the strategic direction of the Consumer Research team.

Manage and execute end-to-end research projects for enterprise, marketing, and business unit initiatives to provide actionable insights/learning.
Proactively mine/analyze available data sources to further team understanding, develop hypotheses and identify insight.
Create the 'story' to facilitate communication of relevant results.
Closely interact and consult with relevant business units/teams to ensure objectives, data collection and analysis support key priorities.
Create strong interconnections across multiple research efforts to deliver a holistic story for stakeholders.

Manage both internal and external resources/vendors to execute market research, data analysis, and reporting to ensure cost-efficient, accurate, and timely completion of projects.
Develop a broad and rich understanding of key industry/company trends by leveraging secondary data sources to help monitor and diagnose the brand/category and address business issues and information needs.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Advanced Degree preferred)
Experience Requirements: 8+ years' experience in market research (supplier-side experience strongly preferred).
Experience with statistical analysis software is strongly preferred (e.g. Survey Reporter, mTab, or other analytical tool experience highly desired).
Strong MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel especially).
Strong communications skills required for representing data and analysis to key stakeholders and management; ability to create and communicate the "story" in written reports, presentations, and via other avenues of communication. Intellectually-curious, analytical, impact-driven, persistent, and confident with sharing opinions and recommendations.

Must be organized, able to work both independently and within a team, with strong attention to detail and strong project management skills.
Must have strong familiarity with multiple research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) and must understand appropriate application of advanced analytics to market research data.

Expertise integrating customer research with large amounts of internal and external data (quantitative and qualitative) to develop strategic and actionable recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute consumer and market research projects with various methodologies, generate consumer and market insights, and tie these insights to actionable business recommendations.
