Sr. Manager, Online Product Merchandising and Ancillary

We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Online Product Merchandising and Ancillary. This candidate will play a key role in defining, executing and optimizing strategic online marketing programs to grow overall room nights and revenue on the client's global sites. This role will utilize new and evolving capabilities to enhance the customer’s onsite experience through promotional marketing and campaigns. This role will also help shape client’s onsite ancillary and cross-sell strategy to drive incremental revenue through smart delivery of non-room product offerings throughout the customer journey.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Demand-led Promotional Marketing:
· Partner with the Analytics team to understand customer demand and shopping/buying behavior on the site to inform the demand-led promotional strategy
· Create, maintain and socialize a comprehensive promotional campaign calendar that balances customer needs with business priorities
· Continue to strengthen relationships with the eCommerce field teams and source relevant offers to incorporate into enterprise-wide merchandising campaigns
· Partner with the digital product development teams as well as the Sr Manager of Online Product Marketing and Merchandising to identify, test and implement new promotional placements onsite
· Evaluate and streamline existing internal processes to improve overall department efficiency and effectiveness
· Publish performance reports and provide recommendations to business partners and content managers to adjust future campaign approaches to maximize performance

Ancillary and Cross-sell Strategy:
· Partner with a cross-functional enterprise team to development a cohesive ancillary and cross-sell approach
· Evaluate existing ancillary offerings on and our global sites to identify gaps in technology, content and product-offering
· Test, deploy and optimize on-site placements focused on offering customers non-room products at the right time in the customer journey
· Develop and communicate to the broader organization best-practices for creating and maintaining ancillary products and content to ensure that customers are able to find what they need

Website Personalization:
· Partner with the Analytics and Personalization teams to identify, segment and target high-value customers
· Lead promotional marketing initiatives to provide customers with a personalized onsite experience that utilizes highly relevant messaging and content based on data
· Lead the team responsible for the planning, development, trafficking and optimization of personalized promotional content on client's site

Website Branding
· Support internal initiatives to contextually integrate website branding throughout the customer experience
· Lead projects and campaigns to support and communicate the website brand value to our customers

Candidate Profile/Skills:
Direct experience managing merchandising or online marketing/branding strategies in an eCommerce organization
Hands-on experience in direct to consumer marketing communications, ideally in the retail and/or “eCommerce” space
Proven skill in working across multiple and distinct functional organizations (e.g., IT, International, Marketing) in support of specific business priorities
Demonstrated comfort with Web Analytics or similar retail store reporting
Effective written and oral communications skills, with particular sensitivity to global communication needs
Strong understanding of A/B and multi-variate testing approaches

Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, but within a large, complex business
Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements
Self-motivated team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and has the ability to influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability

Education and Experience
5-7 years of Online Marketing, Merchandising and/or eCommerce experience
College degree in Marketing, International Business or related field, MBA preferred
