Sr. Manager, Associate Creative Director

One of my agency clients here in NYC is looking for an ACD to start ASAP and end January 13th.

MUST-HAVES
- They need experience making large, complex responsive websites
- No specific industry requirements, but we don’t want folks with too much focus on CPG industry
- We’re looking for a systematic design guru with experience being the design lead

Job Summary:
- As a Senior Manager of Design, you will serve as the creative lead and direct all phases of the creative work for multiple accounts from concept through production.
- You are responsible for leading the creative teams in the development of visual design, user experience, brand identity, and content development for print, web, video and other multimedia solutions.
- You will examine all aspects of a design problem and provide elegant solutions while maintaining a beautiful and usable aesthetic that works for the brand we’re designing for.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for inspiring and motivating creative teams and accountable for developing and directing creative work of the highest caliber with their teams
• Responsible for mentoring and leading assigned creative staff and being available to critique their work to maintain consistent creative quality and award winning work
• Help Creative Director manage the creative staff
• Delegate to Art Directors and Senior Designers to take ownership of projects to ensure all objectives are met and that the level of quality is upheld
• Help review staff performance and communicate performance reviews to them
• Have proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills
• Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables
• Responsible for creating brand-on, strategy-on compelling creative advertising campaigns for assigned clients
• Maintain active list of vendor resources i.e. writers, designers, photographers and Flash developers
• Strong client management skills with the ability to articulate and present conceptual ideas effectively
• Participate in many new business development efforts, leading creative teams
• Coordinate with account teams to interpret client needs in a coherent and constructive format for the creative development of the project
• Understand target audience requirements and translate to team actions that enhance development of creative approaches and solutions
• Collaborate with account teams to create and develop new business opportunities
• Excellent presentation skills that foster and develop existing new client relationships
• Possess strong business acumen, and an expertise in developing integrated solutions for multiple content channels with concentration in interactive/web based experiences
• Ability to develop high-end business development presentations which includes concept, writing and creative
• Must have excellent presentation skills that foster and develop existing new client relationships
• Must have extensive experience representing the creative team and its work to clients. You must be clear in presenting the team’s ideas and work to the client, but also act as the client’s most vocal champion to the creative team
