Sr. Interactive Art Director

Our client is looking for a Sr. Digital/interactive Art Director.  This is an on-site 12months assignment with benefits - Medical, Dental & 401k.

The Sr. Art Director develops visual conceptual solutions for a full range of creative/marketing ideas with an emphasis on creating dramatic results for the brand. Candidates must have strong print and digital design skills, including branding systems and storytelling. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities (Interactive): 
• Must be able to develop concepts and design systems that address marketing objectives in a creative manner and effectively targets the audience 
• Outstanding graphic design layout, color, typography, style guide creation, and data visualization 
• Partner with copywriter 
• Understanding responsive design a must 
• Deep understanding working within content management systems, design templates and brand standards 
• Deep understanding and enthusiasm for web technologies, emerging design trends and innovations 
• Passion for interaction design, touch screen design and mobile platforms 
• Ability to work on large-scale interactive projects, tight deadlines and high volume of work 
• Experience designing websites, landing pages, microsites, emails and banners 
• Understanding of social media graphics for B2B 
• You will not be expected to code, but should be familiar with standards-based web design, and the capabilities of HTML5, CSS3, and Flash

• Plus to have video experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (Print): 
• Must be able to develop concepts and design systems that address marketing objectives in a creative manner and effectively targets the audience 
• Outstanding graphic design layout, color, typography, style guide creation, and data visualization 
• Partner with copywriter 
• Persuasive visual communicator 
• Understand design with various print collateral (brochures to tradeshows) 
• Understand the print process (prepress to proofs to paper) and techniques (die cut, emboss, etc.) 

The Basics: 
• Solid knowledge of graphic software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams a must 
• Experience with financial industry a bonus 
• Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills 
• Excellent presentation skills 
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with ability and experience to manage many projects simultaneously 
• Must have proven experience working with major brands and on e-commerce sites 

Education Preferred: 
• BA degree with a design emphasis, or trade/portfolio school equivalent 
• Portfolio required 
• 8+ years work enterprise-level and/or agency experience.
