We're looking for a seasoned and talented UX/UI Web Designer to join our healthcare client in their Oakland office.

You are:
• Someone with large enterprise and/or end-to-end Interaction Design experience for web/responsive environments.
• Understand and have been involved in user research to some extent, interaction design, analysis of user flows, and perhaps is even aware of animated transitions and their benefits.
• Web focused -- not native app focused – creating responsive or adaptive mobile design, and you have an understanding of both user endpoints, and collaborate well with all parties.
• Skilled in UI – this role is 80 ux/20 visual. You just need to be able to pitch in on visual when needed.

• Mobile/responsive focused!
• You are prepared to show final mockups -- this is huge, even if the product is in development.
• Capable of communicating the problem, solution, and end result
• A visual design background
• A very strong portfolio focused on design of conceptually enviable and functionally seamless web experiences, whether for household name brands or lesser-known but design-savvy niche companies.

• 3-4 good projects under your belt is preferred.
• You demonstrate big picture approach to design and are an abstract thinker (eg, how do you overcome limitations?)
• Knowledge of CSS and HTML

Our client embraces a highly collaborative creative & development process that has proven to produce premium results. Their work is deeply rooted in strategy and concept while maintaining a user-focused perspective.

To be right for this role, you exude the maturity required to be self-reliant and thorough, with enough experience to work within scope creatively and handle shifting sands gracefully. You have knowledge to use research to forge new ideas. You know that content matters and understand the value of contextual details (think micro-interactions and micro-copy). You know enough to know what you don't know and still think beyond the present. You collaborate proactively. You communicate effectively.

You will help their physicians solve for business problems by extending their patient care online, and hopefully have a lot of fun doing it. As such, you are a true senior design talent with analytical, interactive, and visual skills to jump into complex projects with strategic challenges. Ideally, you have at least 6 years in the trenches for the kind of experience you'll need in this role.

If you’ve got the technical ability to bring your own concepts to life through a strong knowledge of CSS and HTML, all the better. But if you don’t, you’ll have the chance to work with their development and technology team to execute your vision. You, at least, understand enough about development to speak the language and make the most of the medium.
