Sr. Interaction Designer - Lead (UX) - 2x

• Own and unify the company Experience across products and platforms
• Be the thought leader for ID within company
• Push for innovative thinking/problem solving and experimentation
• Understand and advocate for the User
• Promote collaboration and ID processes & methodologies
• Research & prototyping
• Keep up with the latest industry trends and tools
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure creative solutions meet business goals.
• Partner with visual designers to collaborate/ideate on user experience
• Document and communicate research needs and translate findings into design insights
• Create/maintain experience documentation and pattern libraries for each product

(Know company’s users)
• Consume user research and metrics—summarizing your findings for the team (extracting design insights)
• Identify gaps in our understanding and liaise with Research to secure needed research
• Author a summary of what we should know about our users including user personas, user goals, prioritized use cases, interaction guidelines, etc.
• Spend time with our users and report back findings and insights


(Create/Maintain reusable UX patterns)
• Right from the start, collaborate with the whole team on all of the deliverables below considering user, business, content, and technical reality
• Develop user experiences that delight our users and are of appropriate scope for the value to user and business
• Author UX artifacts including user journeys and flows, wireframes, breakpoints, sitemaps, state transition diagrams, etc.
• Prototype proposed solutions including interactions
• Provide thought leadership and expertise on differentiated platform use cases, balancing our desire to have a unified experience across platforms with (a) platform-specific conventions and capabilities and (b) our differentiated resource allocation
• Create systems (patterns) for information architecture and interaction design which result in a cohesive, fun, usable, and reusable, experience and which accommodate all use cases that we intend to support (including content variations)
• Present and build consensus around specific solutions
• Author user stories, and functional/interaction specifications
• Review developed features throughout the development lifecycle, setting a high bar for execution and escalating found issues
• Contribute to usability testing goals and test scripts
• Identify the best UX choices made on projects and abstract them into reusable patterns
• Maintain useful, usable documentation of these UX patterns

(Lead the UX Strategy)
• Create the next generation user experience for parts or the whole
• Build prototypes to demonstrate and test the vision
• Propose testing
• Iterate
• Maintain a prioritized backlog of these user experience ideas

(Identify pain points and opportunities for site/app enhancements)
• Evaluate existing experiences and review analytics, advocating for prioritization, A/B testing, etc.

(Generate new concepts/ideas)
• Think outside the box and propose concepts/ideas of known challenges having the knowledge of current systems and user insights
