Sr. eLearning Instructional Designer

This is a 1 year contract role in Oakland. On-site availability is required for the first few months and then partial remote would be considered.
25% travel to other locations.
Possible temp to hire

Designs and develops systems based training curriculum, courseware, and tools for web-based training for Contact Center end-users (may include Train-the-Trainer) using online resources in support of a project-driven initiative. Identifies and implements training courseware elements using needs analysis, instructional design methodologies, and standard testing methods to produce eLearning. Maintain online training materials.
Demonstrate competence in designing eLearning and computer-based training courses is required.

Essential Functions:
• Assess, plan, design, develop, and implement professional development training courseware.
• Apply excellent documentation skills and advanced project management skills and methodologies to the instructional design process, including training needs assessment, job and participant analysis, course design, and development deliverables.
• Develops Web-based training and executes Web-based learning strategies in conjunction with the requirements of key project stakeholders (Business and Information Technologies).
• Design and evaluate post instruction outcomes using current eLearning evaluation methods which meet the training requirements and objectives.
• Attend meetings to: report progress, discuss risks/issues, obtain and track decisions as well as take ownership of action items that result.
• Author eLearning utilizing applicable Web-based training applications (i.e. Articulate, Captivate, Intradiem, and Learning Management Systems, e.g. Saba).
• Support and contribute to strategic efforts to design and script (for text and audio) simple to complex interactive eLearning projects.
• Develop and/or enhance storyboard/scripts with text, voice, sounds, and graphics.
• Manage and execute eLearning quality review and revision cycles.
• Conduct quality assurance tests of eLearning deliverables and provide status reports.
• Report task and deliverables progress, blocking issues and problem-solving ideas.
• Provide consistency to new and established content design strategies.
• Advise and cooperate with colleagues and key stakeholder partners to achieve team goals.

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in planning and designing interactive multimedia training tools including, instructional design and development, and project management planning.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience using computer based tools in the development, maintenance, and delivery of eLearning products and knowledge management projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, business, or communication required OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
