Sr. Instructional Designer

Partner with various business units and their associated Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and talent acquisition to build comprehensive leadership development strategy and operational plan to ensure the organization’s leadership are modeling principles that create a high-performance organization.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct needs assessments within the organization to evaluate current skills against business objectives and priorities.
• Identify and leverage learning and development trends and best practices to inform new content and curriculum products.
• Design and develop new courses/programs (instructor-led, virtual classrooms, and self-directed online and on-the-job) which closes the learning gaps and addresses business needs.
• Project manage the development process; i.e., scope project, estimate effort, set schedule, coordinate deliverables and resources).
• Create design the course or curriculum including documents and course materials (student’s guides, facilitator guides, Powerpoint decks, toolkits, etc.) which support the training.
• Continuously review and update existing courses for quality, currency and consistency; work with faculty to enhance existing content.
• Facilitate programs as needed. Conduct train-the-trainer with faculty.
• Ensure appropriate evaluation and assessment methods and techniques are applied for each course and learning experience to ensure transfer of learning to the workplace.
• Work collaboratively with HRBP’s to ensure that leadership development processes and programs are embedded and practiced.

Key Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a human resources professional with specialized mastery in leadership development, leadership assessment, program design and delivery, competency development, and learning effectiveness measurements and analysis.
• 7-10 years of relevant business experience in instructional design, learning solution development, and training facilitation.
• Master’s degree in adult learning, organization development, organization behavior, or equivalent.
• Well versed in adult learning theories, principles, evaluation and assessment methods.
• Comprehensive understanding of current landscape and trends in innovative learning technologies and methodologies.
• Experience in stratifying best-in-class leadership development programs that yields increased employee engagement and demonstrated business outcomes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation and facilitation skills, ability to communicate with all levels of management, and ability to write comprehensive facilitation guides.
• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks/projects with minimal supervision; adherence to budgets and deadlines.
• Proven ability to design and develop effective and compelling learning programs and courses in the context of corporate training.
• Success as a trainer.
• Experience in Captivate, Articulate, Successfactors a plus
