Sr. Identity Designer

Well known leader in the agency world is seeking a Senior Identity Designer to provide leadership for designers by managing projects effective and ensuring the achievement of creative excellence by supporting and driving the creative vision and beliefs – ‘great ideas expertly and beautifully crafted and delivered with rigor and flair’. Under the direction of a Design Director and/or Creative Director, you will help develop and understand design strategy to deliver the best possible creative solution with consideration of budget. This position will be located in the San Francisco office.
Duties and Responsibilities

Understanding /awareness of the local aesthetic and culture when creating local and global brands, e.g. type, color issues, symbols etc for regions.
Coordinates projects with outside resources to facilitate production of deliverables
Ensures all correspondence, materials, presentations, proposals, etc., seen by prospective and existing clients are error-free, of highest quality and always relevant to the client’s issues
Partners effectively with all departments to ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality deliverables that address all relevant prospective clients requirements
Communicates findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner in written, oral and presentation forms
Shares and imports best practices and resources with peers within broader network
Provides leadership for designers by managing project assignments
Conducts conceptual exploration, including drawing, sketching, research and thumbnails.
Establishes directions and design solutions; ensures implementation of directions from concept through production.
Proficiency in graphic creative software: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Handle multiple projects/tasks at one time
Evaluate and contribute to developing and writing competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans.
Communicate strategy to cross-functional audiences to unique on-strategy deliverables that meet client needs.
Present design solutions to the client
Drives for results by monitoring creative studio utilization and ensuring profitability on assigned projects through team adherence to established budgets and schedules.
Partners with Design Directors to maintain high utilization.
Ensures and maintains specialization expertise (identity, packaging, environments, digital) within the team
Helps with project planning and organization
Monitors timeline and deadlines
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field. Must be an excellent communicator. Must have outstanding technical skills and be capable of collaborating confidently with other agency and supplier team members and have a passion for cracking tough strategic problems. Should have creative familiarity with interior and/or product design). Should have excellent technical skills, primarily Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Should have familiarity with new media software applications such as Flash, After Effects, Premiere, FinalCut , Dream Weaver as well as 3D programs. Knowledge of art materials, fabrication techniques, printing process and press runs. Effective communication skills, written and verbal. Evidence of strategic and creative vision that supports client goals. Evidence of an understanding of consumers and competition.
