Sr Graphic/Web Interface Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer/Web Interface Designer plays a lead role in crafting highly-conceptual ideas that consistently captures the brand look and feel of external facing customer/program websites.

This position entails a significant amount of initiative and creativity with the ability to originate ideas. Must be able to prioritize while multi-tasking and handle pressure with adherence to quality and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where innovation, creativity, a positive attitude, growth, passion and fun are valued.

Responsibilities
• Conceptualize and create original ideas for customer/program websites and outreach campaigns
• Maintain and evolve design standards
• Create mockups for presentations purposes
• Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space and aesthetic design concepts.
• Prepare precise and accurate electronic files to print production specifications and ensure delivery to vendors
• Create and update Style Guides for campaigns and promos
• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Competitive knowledge for design
• A self-starter who is able to troubleshoot and work independently
• Determine artwork placement and proper logo usage and branding strategies
• Present work articulately to all cross-functional partners.

Qualifications
• 5-7 years of design experience using Adobe CS.
• Must have a strong working knowledge graphic design programs, proofing, print processes, project specs, and typography
• Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Experience in producing final files ready for press or web
• Create design recommendations, icons and mockups for websites
• Ensure consistent branding across the website and marketing collateral
• Provide overall graphic and design support for programs
• The ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities is required
• Ability to translate existing designs in a variety of media
• Knowledge of the latest graphic design/marketing and communication trends and techniques
• High level of follow-through and accountability to others
• Portfolio of recent work and what your favorite website(s) are why

Education
• Must have minimum BA degree with emphasis in Fine Art, Design or Graphics.
Software package expertise
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Axure RP, Balsamiq or other similar tools (some wireframing will be required)
