Sr. Graphic Designer

Our top payment technology client is looking for an experienced Sr. Graphic / Visual Storyteller to join their Corporate Communications team. The ideal candidate should combine robust design prowess who can format, design, illustrate with storytelling abilities to create a wide variety of visually creative materials from infographics to powerpoint presentations. This role is a combination of strategist and hands-on designer thinker with a collaborative, creative point of view and the ability to research and identify the story.

Onsite* in SF Bay Area (peninsula), 40 hours / week.
6 months - 1 year+ contract position.
NO remote work, onsite only.

Deliverables include:
infographics, presentations, brochures, fact sheets, photo essays, motion graphics, and other compelling materials for the corporate marketing team.


Responsibilities:
• Prepare designs, artwork and copy layouts for marketing materials—including social media creative (ex. images for Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.)
• Produce graphics, figures, exhibits, covers, presentations, document layouts and other design collateral
• Ideate, research and design infographics, data visualizations, and other graphics that tell company story
• Support brand execution and brand storytelling with visuals that could go across digital, video, and print
• Update and maintain existing library of presentations and images
• Provide creative point of view and persuasive presentation skills to support senior staff

Qualifications

Professional
• Bachelors degree in design/multimedia arts or equivalent
• Approximately 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a corporate or large agency environment
• Ability to tell a story through visuals
• Previous experience in designing brand creative
• Previous experience creating infographics and social media collateral
• An eye for what type of creative performs well in social media contexts

Technical
• A broad range of multimedia design skills – adept at working in digital, video media and print
• Fluency in key design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Aftereffects)
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills, including ability to use audio and visual components in PowerPoint presentations
• Some ability to visualize data—taking Excel spreadsheets and turning them into visually appealing creative
• Expert skill in creating presentations with complex information in rapid-paced environment
• Ability to create new templates and work within standard corporate templates
• Ability to provide print specifications, evaluate color separations, color proofs and conduct press checks as needed
• Knowledge of print production techniques, tradeoffs and pricing appreciated

• Understanding of corporate design standards
• Flexible team player who is able to work take direction, offer a point of view, and work with a variety of people within the business
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
