Our large financial services client located in downtown Boston is looking for a Sr. Graphic Designer for a 10-month contract assignment..
The Senior Designer will be responsible for maintaining the look and feel of the clients brand, reviewing the work of others, and making edits as necessary. They must be able to stay on brand while making appropriate decisions regarding tactical design projects. Works in conjunction with the Art Director and Junior Designers on all design solutions required for print, as well as web if needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to design best practices, and help educate clients on them, as needed. Confer with clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.

Interact with external agencies as needed, to ensure that brand standards, design best practices, and company design aesthetic are followed.

Review templated work that comes in from an external team, for quality assurance, adherence to brand standards, and future template refinement. Assist in template refinements as needed.

Work in partnership with internal clients, whether they be writers, editors, other designers, interns or the art director, to create the best creative and innovative solutions achieved within budget.

Work to creative brief and show understanding and relevance to the target market. Create inspiring, strategic, and innovative ideas for internal clients that work in a fully integrated manner with an online component if necessary.

Copywriting experience ideal, must at least possess the ability to help the writer think strategically about refining their copy, if appropriate to the content delivery.

Capable of concepting and designing multiple options to solve the problem at hand. Capable of interacting with clients in a professional manner, in more of an account service or PM role as needed, to further the goals of the company and in-house agency.

Be able to effectively visualize and create concepts into the end product, either on their own projects, or by giving direction on photography style, imagery, typography and iconography to an external agency.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 5 to 7 years working as a designer in either an in-house or agency environment.
Strong typography and design skills, exhibited in a professional portfolio.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Capable in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PPT and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
