Lead Graphic Designer
The Lead Designer works collaboratively with the rest of the design team, senior clients, and communications/publishing colleagues to create and maintain outstanding digital products. This is a hands-on role, responsibilities include: creating and communicating concepts, developing design solutions from high-level user experiences to detailed layouts and user interface design.
Reporting to the Design Director, the Lead Designer is part of the Firm Communications and Publishing design team. They will ensure ensure that the clients digital communications are best in class and meet the needs of internal stakeholders. As such, the Lead Designer will have the stature and communication skills to assert themselves as a creative lead on projects.
The individual will be able to manage multiple projects independently and efficiently. She/he will need to create and maintain accurate schedules, timelines, and develop plans for creating and maintaining products of the highest quality, matching the standards of excellence expected of the Firm.


Responsibilities
■ Create engaging digital experiences while upholding the highest standards of usability across digital channels
■ Provide thought leadership and hands-on execution across a diverse range of design and communication challenges including data visualization, graphics for video, and interactive presentations
■ Be up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies, and advocate for their adoption to meet the Firm’s communications goals
■ Support colleagues in production/developer roles with design documentation, graphical assets and appropriate guidance
■ Go beyond the basic brief to design beautiful and inspiring instances of Brand communication

Required Skills and Experience
■ Strong sense of design and deep understanding of UX/UI
■ Detailed understanding of online communications and experience working with developers to implement designs
■ Deep experience working within a large, global brand system
■ Able to take ownership of, prioritize, and manage multiple work streams
■ Formal Graphic Design qualification
■ Excellent written and oral communication skills
■ Highly efficient, organized, and detail oriented with pixel perfect attention to detail

Required Technical Expertise
■ Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (esp: Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks)
■ Experience with wireframing (eg: with Axure, OmniGraffle, etc.)
■ Comfort with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
■ Basic knowledge of HTML and Cascading Style Sheets
