Sr. Graphic Designer - Offsite

Our client is looking for Sr Graphic Designer. This is an offsite long-term freelance opportunity. The ideal talent will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Responsible for design and production of Client’s collateral projects.
• Collaborates with Account Manager, Creative Director and to identify project needs and design product to support brand objectives
• Communicates effectively with the Creative Director on brand, style and design.
• Establishes priorities for assigned tasks for self and often works concurrently on multiple complex tasks.
• Reviews all projects with the Account Manager and Creative Director to ensure they are graphically compelling
• Applies broad knowledge of prepress workflows, digital asset management, problem solving, designing and quality control to handle assigned accounts with minimal supervision.
• Uses ethical business practices in dealing with customers, coworkers, vendors, suppliers and the community.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• Identifies and facilitates opportunities for continuous improvement in the product, process and service.

REQUIRED SKILLS
The duties and responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. The qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
• 10+ years of work experience in graphic design.
• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 6.
• Excellent Mac and PC skills are a must.
• Experience in B2B design with a strong portfolio demonstrating focus on B2B work.
• Must have excellent prioritizing and organizational skills, attention to detail and possess the ability to work independently in a team environment.
• Must be a self-starter and have a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines in a high-volume
environment.
• Ability to problem solve, analyze potential solutions and use good sound judgment to make decisions.
• Must have strong production skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, and Excel) a plus
• Well rounded knowledge of prepress, photo, creative, digital print, print, web, digital asset management and color, a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding.
• Strong commitment to ensuring quality and exceeding customer satisfaction
expectations.
• Ability to work with ambiguity.
• An excellent portfolio showcasing digital platform experience (video editing, web, mobile/tablet apps and UI design)
• Exceptional design aesthetic, variations on styles, and awareness of design trends and innovation
• Ability to use animation programs (Flash, After Effects, etc.) is a huge plus
• Understands the technical possibilities and limitations of print and digital

PROFILE
Support: Works with Creative Director in implementing primary design direction and incorporating the best design and technology practices to provide cohesive support of overall creative strategies.

Develop: Proactively researches and pursues ideas for professional development. Seeks out creative mentorship when required.

Creative craft skills: Demonstrates world-class execution of innovative and effective print and digital communications and interface design experiences across all platforms; proficient in the most up-to-date design programs. Able to analyze problems, anticipate consequences, and eliminate obstacles to successfully complete projects.

Idea generation: Capable of concepting and collaborating on campaign ideas with a creative team while working on multiple projects within time deadlines, and prioritizing tasks for each.

Leadership: Takes personal responsibility for on-time deliverables and expertly crafted design.
