Sr. Front End Developer (LA Market)

Location: Los Angeles with occasional travel to client site in the San Francisco area.
Duration: 6-8 weeks (likelihood of extension from there)

My client, a leading Digital Agency with offices worldwide, is looking for a Sr. Front End Developer to join their team.
As Front-End Developers, we represent the voice of technology in the design process and collaborate with our backend counterparts to implement our client-side solutions. We are broad generalists and detail-oriented craftsmen with strong expertise in HTML and CSS, rich interactive applications, and mobile web and native app development. Because our space is always changing, we are constantly learning and sharing.

Position Description

This person is responsible for architecting and developing front-end solutions including HTML/CSS templates, JavaScript and AJAX code, mobile application support, mobile optimized sites, and rich media production and integration. On many projects, he or she will lead collaboration between design and back-end development teams. A strong visual eye and understanding of design concepts is necessary, as is a perspective on front- and back-end technologies and their impact on the design process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Produce HTML/CSS templates from design documentation for integrating into desktop and mobile websites and web applications
• Understand cross-browser and cross-platform concepts and concerns
• Assist in development of standards, methodology and repeatable processes
• Work closely with design, business, and technical counterparts across AG practice areas.
• Explore industry trends to share with the team.

Additional Key Requirements

• CSS pre processor experience (Sass, LESS, or Stylus)
• Advanced JavaScript (backbone.Js or angular.Js)
• JavaScript template experience


• Ability to solve complex development problems and produce the highest quality code while pushing the boundaries of online applications
• Solid understanding of W3C and accessibility guidelines
• Ability to work quickly but with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communications and organizational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced production deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work within an integration/ecommerce environment

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) degree in Computer Science / Marketing / Advertising / Interactive Design / Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
Software package expertise

• Adobe CS production suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash)
• IE 6+, Firefox, Safari and Chrome Browsers on Mac and PC

To be considered for this job, candidates must be local to the Los Angeles market/able to work on site, open to occasional travel and hold valid a valid visa to work in the US with no time constraints, on a W-2 basis.
