Sr. Direct Marketing Manager

Our financial services client in Dedham is looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Manager with at least 5 years of experience solely executing direct marketing campaigns for consumer credit cards. The candidate must be able to prove that they have developed and executed direct marketing campaigns for card product programs. The position is slated to be a 3 – 6 month contract.

The Senior Direct Marketing Manager with partner with business partners within Marketing, Product and Channel develop and execute direct marketing programs that will onboard, activate and deepen relationships with our new credit card customers. Programs will be based on an understanding of customer needs and will support Credit Card (and secondarily Deposit products and services.)

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Build and implement targeted credit card direct marketing programs to deliver deep, highly profitable customer relationships.

2. Partner with internal colleagues in Marketing to build and implement ensure both offline and online marketing channels are being optimized in order to support the achievement of the Bank's business and marketing goals. Specifically -- to onboard, activate, deepen and retain qualified customers.

3. Project manage multiple programs that include varying degrees of complexity. Oversee all workstreams, manage timelines, budgets and stakeholder engagement. Tasked with keeping leaders, partners and stakeholders informed of program progress, issues and results.

4. Mine various sources of data including primary and secondary research competitive intelligence, business analysis to educate him/herself to identify leveragable customer insights that can be translated into effective marketing programs.

5. Spearhead design and management of direct marketing programs in all phases including business case development, planning, implementation and analysis. Use learnings to continue to improve and evolve the direct marketing initiatives.

6. Develop working relationships with business partners and peers within the marketing team in order to ensure engagement and agreement on marketing initiatives. Must be able to navigate a matrix organization and routinely define win-win approaches that drive optimal results for all stakeholders.

7. Maintain an in-depth understanding of each partner's business goals and priorities to proactively identify opportunities to leverage direct marketing solutions

8. Work with multiple outside agency partners to ensure that direct marketing programs are implemented on time, on brand, on strategy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines and are within budget.

9 Manage overall direct marketing budget including expenses for outside agencies, consultants, media (lists), and out-of-pocket costs including postage and data processing.

10. Partner with Systems and Operations support areas to ensure direct marketing initiatives are leveraging available technologies and are able to be supported on the backend.

11. Provide accurate, results-based projections for marketing initiatives to ensure program goals are met and adequate staffing is in place in support areas such as retail branches, sales, Customer Service, etc.

12. Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive offerings and campaigns to ensure Citizens remains a market-leader in its use of the direct channel



MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS



6-10 years managing consumer direct marketing programs. Minimum of 5 years experience in consumer credit card marketing.

Experience in a medium-large sized matrix organization, and/or a retail environment is also a plus.

Development and implementation of 1-to-1 channel initiatives for both online and offline marketing programs. Experience with campaign management systems a plus.

Presentation and Communications skills required: Must be able to create PowerPoint presentations if need be.

Must have superior skills with MS Office suite including Excel, Word. MS PowerPoint skills required.
