Sr. Digital Marketing Director

The Sr. Digital Marketing Director is a leadership position responsible for driving overall digital marketing efforts within the Americas to meet the business growth objectives. Acting as a day-to-day champion of digital marketing, this person will be driving the strategic use of web properties and their day-to-day operational management, together with digital marketing programs designed to engage target audiences and acquire customers.

This position will bring focus to use of digital marketing channels across the business every day. It requires a combination of vision and passion, along with solid business acumen, analytical discipline and a bias towards action and results.

This person will represent the Americas on the global digital marketing team and lead digital marketing within the Americas to establish a strategic roadmap and provide leadership for the specific campaigns and site operations. This position will manage a team of direct reports and work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization to deploy digital programs that yield measurable and business-relevant results.

Overview
• Develop innovative digital marketing strategies and plans to support Americas business growth objectives and priorities
• Establish and implement repeatable and scalable digital marketing programs for the Americas
• Work closely with Global Digital Lead to continuously evolve production infrastructure and processes to build best-in-class Site Operations team
• Build high performing and capable team with clear accountability, as well as passion, enthusiasm and ability for driving better business results through best-in-class digital marketing communications
• Identify online advertising requirements and activity, inclusive of mobile, video, and display advertising
• Drive search engine marketing and optimization strategy and program for the Americas
• Integrate metrics and ROI-related measures to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of digital marketing programs and campaigns
• Develop a system and process for digital project prioritization and engage with senior level management and key stakeholders across sales, marketing, and IT, to ensure alignment
• Influence evolution of customer journeys across Digital Assets (UX) and proactively identify customer pain points and appropriate solutions
• Lead social media marketing initiatives for the Americas
• Leverage trends and best practices in consumer and medical marketing, and across the organization, to drive effective digital marketing programs
• Identify, direct and manage external consultants and agencies in order to fulfill/implement digital programs
• The Sr. Digital Marketing Manager may be required to travel up to 10% primarily within the US
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, at least 3+ years managing a team directly
• Strong B2B and B2C experience
• Experienced leading operational readiness process for production releases and fixes and comfortable working with technology and development teams
• Experienced with digital performance management toolsets including social listening platforms and analytics packages – Google Analytics/Omniture/WebTrends/etc.
• Fluent with digital and technical terminology and experience with content management systems
• Must bring "big picture" strategy with have a high level of energy and self-direction for successful project execution
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work effectively with manager, peers, team, stakeholders, vendors and customers in country and across geographical boundaries
• Demonstrated executive engagement and team leadership in the area of digital marketing
• Sets high standards for performance: coaches, empowers others, provides feedback to the team and ensures accountability of team members for results
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills utilizing strong listening skills and logical, systematic approach to assimilating and sharing information in all areas
• Operates with high integrity, is productive under pressure, hands-on when needed
• Bachelor's degree plus MBA preferred or equivalent education and experience
