Sr. Designer Retail Décor + Brand

Reporting to the Creative Director,
Retail Décor + Brand, the Senior Designer will be a leader on the creative team and should
have deep and demonstrated experience in graphic design disciplines; layout, color, typography, and be able to successfully use this knowledge to create compelling environmental graphics for exterior and interior retail store environments while maintaining brand standards for the Retail Décor creative team. Areas of focus could include (but not limited to): Exterior Branding; store windows and signage, Interior Branding; store décor, graphics and signage, Brand Standards; style guides for each area of discipline. Individual must be self-motivated, self-managed and have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

This position requires innovative thinking, knowledge of the business needs, design leadership and the ability to communicate and influence design decisions through the direction of the creative team and business partners. This candidate must possess speed and energy to fit in a fast paced environment that is reactive to business needs. The Senior Designer will be responsible for ensuring that creative projects meet their business objectives, deliverable dates, that creative is on-brand, style guidelines are updated and adhered to and overall creative quality is met. The ability to work collaboratively with enthusiasm and teamwork with internal business partners and external agencies and vendors is important. This role will need to partner closely with the Creative Director to ideate and solve day-to-day creative business needs. They will also be responsible for maintaining an excellent working relationship with
the creative team, account services and business partners.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Art direction, concept development, and implementation of store environments;
Exterior Branding; store windows and signage, Interior Branding; store décor, graphics and signage
2. Assist the Creative Director in management of ongoing creative jobs; project management and tracking
3. Provide art direction to external vendors.
4. Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external agencies and partners.
5. Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of style and brand guidelines
EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED Masters
Bachelor Degree Graphic Design / Creative Other Certificates or Licenses (list):
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE: 5- 8 years
