This is a hands-on role, heading up all of our design and brand activities across the company. The right person for this role will have a very strong background in both on and offline graphic design, and will be a solid strategic thinker as well. They will have an outstanding eye and be a stickler for detail. Finally, they will be very interested in technology, and will not shy away from pushing themselves to learn and contribute more,

There are three key things that will define the right candidate for this role:

1. They are a strong executor, operating in a hands-on, “get stuff done” fashion

2. They are highly collaborative, thinking more about “working with” than “working for”

3. They are creative as well as metrics driven, focused on setting specific targets and goals and then consistently measuring progress towards achieving them

This role is based out downtown San Francisco and is NOT a regular telecommuting role (occasional work at home to get stuff done is fine).

You must have a portfolio of creative samples you can walk us through.

Responsibilities

· Serve as the lead designer for our client’s marketing efforts, across all digital and offline marketing and brand initiatives, including the website

· Create rich and intuitive designs for web, print and mobile as well as an overall design system that works holistically (including creative concepts, design style guide, branding system, event experiences, and a visual library of illustrations, photos, icons, and infographics)

· Develop our client’s visual language and supporting documentation to ensure design consistency, simplicity and quality

· Produce designs into final materials including collateral, event signage, online banners, presentations, infographics, emails, microsites, advertisements, etc.

· Manage external agencies and contractors as needed

· Manage creative budgets, timelines, resources, processes and technologies as appropriate

· Act as a brand steward, working closely with internal stakeholders and external creative partners to help projects move rapidly from concept to launch; from testing through iterations, all while speaking with our client’s voice

· Design and execute/manage the execution of a range of tactics, including, but not limited to:

o Digital ads and banners

o Blog graphics

o Social icons, badges and images

o Photography - post production editing

o Video - oversee concept, graphics and storyboard dev with agencies

o Basic video editing to re-purpose clips (aka. Vine, etc.)

o Product logos and identification

o Technical product illustrations

o Technical product sheets

o Website graphics, icons and banners

o T-shirts and swag graphics

o Sales, corporate, and SC presentations and templates (Powerpoint and Keynote formats)

o Case Studies and White Paper templates / graphics

o Email, web form and landing page templates (HTML manipulation)

o Infographics and Corporate Milestones / Timelines

o Brand ID / templates for sales contracts and purchase agreements

o Brand ID / templates for user guides and customer bulletins / releases

o Webinar slides and other marketing content downloads

o Graphics for bylined and sponsored content

o Online press room assets and digital press kits

o Trade show sponsor ads, promo slides and booth graphics


Requirements:

· 7+ years of on and offline design experience (agency + corporate experience a plus, but must have solid corporate-side background)
· Experience working in both large companies as well as fast-growth startups
· Demonstrated experience with disruptive technical/infrastructure technologies to IT audiences/buyers
· A proven executer with clear evidence of success
· Not afraid of complicated technology
· Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast moving environment – strong prioritization skills are critical
· mGreat, positive, can-do attitude, high energy, innovative, charismatic, strong work ethic and detail oriented
· Highly collaborative and respectful of others and their contributions

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree required
