Sr. Creative Services and Branding Advisor

Purpose:

A large energy client of Aquent's is looking for a Brand Advisor to join their team. Under direct supervision, create, design, and execute creative assets in accordance with brand identity and corporate guidelines. Help establish and guide the company’s internal creative services team, working closely with the Marketing Communications (MarComms) team, external advertising agency of record, and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and expertise in the creative process.

Responsibilities:
Evolve the company brand vision by helping develop an updated brand look and guidelines to inspire future creative materials that will be developed internally and in collaboration with the company’s advertising agency of record- 20%
Help design and create company materials with the internal creative team and/or with the help of an external design firm. Provide input on design elements, compare against current company design standards, and provide direction to design firm- 30%
Review/Edit/Approve company communications. Provide input to team members, internal business partners, suppliers and agency in compliance with company policies, brand identity standards, affiliate transaction rules, legal and regulatory requirements - 20%
Support corporate branding initiatives by ensuring compliance with utility identity guidelines, image usage licenses, co-branding policies, trademarks/copyrights and implementing of the brand across all mediums- 15%
Initiaite and drive processes and procedures for the Creative Services department. Responsible for overall project workflow. Guides jobs from project initiation to completion to ensure seamless execution per required deadlines. Participate in project updates and status meetings with the marketing communications team- 10%
Manage project budget against design and print quotes so as not to exceed expected costs per piece. Process project invoices for all projects designed, verify accuracy of project costs to maintain budget guidelines- 5%


Qualifications:
Degree in Arts, Creative Advertising, Design or Art Direction is required. Required experience working 5-7 years for graphic design company, advertising agency or in-house, corporate creative team (preferred). A strong art direction/graphic design background desired with experience working on advertising campaigns (preferred). Experience in working on company branding desired. Ability to assess design strengths/weaknesses and clearly communicate issues to designers and non-designers. Successful track record of assessing priorities and working well under pressure to meet multiple deadlines. Detail and solution-oriented with accuracy in all phases of project management. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Strong team player with the ability to foster excellent working relationships. Advanced skills across all creative computer programs
