Sr. Copywriter: Sales & Marketing

Overview:
Position Summary
Individual contributor that 1)provides copy writing for Sales and Marketing Operations Strategic Initiatives and 2)project coordination support for Sales and Marketing Strategic initiatives. Initiatives include copy writing support for major PBM event communications, project tracking and Sales segment support. The position works cross-functionally with marketing leaders, creative professionals, business owners and subject matter experts to develop effective communications and tactics that meet business objectives. This position participates in conceptual brainstorming and collaborates on execution of assigned deliverables; writes content, interfaces with all business units within the company, coordinates multiple projects from start to finish and completes writing assignments within established budget and timelines.

Responsibilities:
a. Insights (70%)
i. Content Creator
1. Develop, write, and edit content for a variety of channels, from web to social to printed white papers
2. Complete content or creative briefs as requested by editor to align on story angles and key messages in advance of drafting story content
3. Tell compelling stories about the company’s value proposition to help create a favorable sales environment
4. Develop and execute online syndication campaigns
5. Monitoring industry and competitor news to identify opportunities to leverage the company’s strengths through compelling stories
6. Assignments and deadlines will be determined in discussion with Riddhi Trivedi-St Clair, Director, Content Strategy

ii. Content Ideation
1. Develop sources and generate story ideas; identify contacts/meetings within the organization to monitor and engage in discussion of key issues and challenges related to that area of expertise with the goal of developing story ideas
2. Identify story ideas that are relevant to clients and translating company and industry data, and analytics
3. Collaborate with the director of content strategy to develop and maintain a robust editorial calendar
4. Understand key issues and business challenges facing health care and propose ideas for “newsworthy” content

b. Programs and Services (30%)
1. Develop, write, and edit content for a variety of assets, including but not limited to Fact Sheets, Case Studies, Executive Reports and web page content
2. Provide writing support to assist the team in telling compelling stories about the company’s value proposition to help create a favorable sales environment
3. Understand key issues and business challenges facing health care
4. Develop narratives to highlight CVS Health products and services that will help clients address their challenges
5. Assignments and deadlines will be determined in discussion with Riddhi Trivedi-St Clair, Director, Content Strategy and Billy Duffey, Director Integrated Marketing

Editor Support
a. Meet with Riddhi Trivedi-St Clair, Director, Content Strategy (Editor) on a weekly basis to propose story ideas, discuss key business issues and news stories, and assist with editorial calendar planning
b. Proactively engage with key stakeholders to identify key topics and generate story ideas for the content calendar
c. Engage editor as needed as a first point of contact to brainstorm story angles and clarify questions about industry or competitor issues or CVS Health products and services
d. Contact editor as needed to proactively identify challenges in interviewing key contacts and subject matter experts and gain support in overcoming obstacles to reporting
e. Execute on ideas

Duties
•Writes engaging, relevant, original content for Sales and Marketing Operations Strategic Initiatives and PBM events.
Articulates positioning while remaining aligned to brand style and voice.
Produces effective deliverables based on strategically sound concepts. Diverse assignments may include events registration website content, events supporting materials and thought leadership presentations, conference and trade show materials, web/social media content for events, etc
•Manages tasks and timelines for assignments the position coordinates. Proactively monitors the progress of assigned projects through each phase of development, conceptualization, draft, review, layout, and production. Documents and reports tasks, milestones and timelines to manager when contributing to initiatives led by others.
•Helps maintain distribution platforms for completed materials and content
•Communicates progress to management
