Sr Copywriter (Beauty/Fashion Experience)

The PINK Senior Copywriter will own editorial and shape product and seasonal storytelling in the ecommerce and print space – successfully transitioning key big ideas from our stores to VSPINK.com and catalogue. Highly creative writer with a strong editorial voice and a solid understanding of marketing and brand building.

Ability to discern the most important attributes of a product, interpret fashion themes, and relay merchandise and marketing messages to our customer in the fun, cheeky and aspirational PINK voice. Conceptualize and lead brand-wide projects, launches and campaigns. Write original, inventive catalogue and web copy that builds the brand through tone, style, story and content. Partner with merchants, marketing, creative, publishing and web teams. Lead and manage content from concept through final execution.

Spirited, curious and creative, Victoria’s Secret PINK is always on the edge of the latest marketing initiatives and customer outreach vehicles. Candidate must be an out of the box thinker who can apply experience to innovative PINK projects.

REQUIREMENTS
• Write all brand copy for catalogue and VSPINK.com, including homepage, headers, email and product copy
• Elevate the PINK brand through storytelling and ensure the PINK voice is aligned with stores’ positioning
•Research and write product launch positioning
•Research merchandise with merchants and marketing teams to tell a cohesive story that supports the business while staying true to the spirit of the PINK brand
•Work with cross-functional PINK creative and marketing partners to ensure copy is on-trend, on-brand, compelling and concise and in the voice of the collegiate female customer
•Proofread copy for clarity, accuracy of detail and consistency of style
•Execute/rewrite post editing, layout/film reviews and merchant and marketing corrections
•Maintain copy library and communicate across functions to ensure consistency and alignment

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Highly creative writer and thinker
• Ability to present creative ideas
• Knowledge of and keen interest in fashion, beauty and current trends
• Understanding of the retail business and the concept of brand marketing
• Ability to work under deadline pressure as part of a creative team
• Self motivated, independent team player who strives for excellence
• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 6+ years fashion editorial copywriting experience, preferably for a collegiate targeted audience
• Demonstrated understanding of the PINK brand and customer
• Proficient with Macintosh
• Understanding of how copy relates/impacts to web/print design
