Sr. Copy Writer
As a key leader to the creative team, this position is responsible for concepting, writing and proofreading marketing or packaging materials for cosmetic company. The senior copy writer concepts and creates witty and memorable on-brand copy that consistently communicates the brand voice in a disruptive and effective way. This role is responsible for managing their areas of business—whether their focus is packaging or digital—as well as ideating and presenting original ideas to the director of editorial or senior copy manager. This role is primarily responsible for conceptual ideation, strategic thinking, product features and benefits copy as well as romance copy.
For the web focused senior writer major responsibilities include headline and subject line writing, and creative ownership of web programs and initiatives such as loyalty programs or email series.
Additional responsibilities include contributing to high-level team brainstorm sessions for thematic ideas for experiential and/or social initiatives and/or A launch campaign concepts.
The senior copywriter is expected to evolve the brand voice through all projects and across all brands including: cosmetic company branding, bareMinerals makeup and skincare, and Buxom.
This position requires initiative, the ability to originate and present ideas, the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, and to successfully partner with internal clients (Global Marketing Product Development and/or web marketing). Must be able to prioritize while multi-tasking and handle pressure with adherence to quality (proofreading) and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where innovation, creativity, a positive attitude, passion and fun are valued.
Develop and write and edit creative copy for projects including, but not limited to, digital headlines for email and web, all web copy, email, relationship marketing, social media, blog posts and ownership, possible packaging copy, product naming, product positioning statements, promotional headlines, print ads, brand materials, direct mail, sales sheets, email newsletters, online communications, press releases, retail promotional signs, postcards and other marketing materials.
Manage multiple writing projects with the ability to meet constant deadlines and the
Work closely with legal and regulatory to obtain regulatory and legal approval for all copy.
Work closely with the Global Marketing and Product Development to ensure accurate,
Manage multi-language translation requests.
Contribute to high-level team brainstorm sessions for campaign headlines, taglines, or print

Develop familiarity with Bare Escentuals products in order to identify features and benefits and ensure copy is thorough and accurate. Review all copy to ensure accuracy of information and mechanics of writing, which includes punctuation, spelling, structure and organization and correct use of trademark symbols according to legal guidelines. Maintains organized filing system of key flexibility to manage shifting priorities.consistent, and high quality messaging in all marketing and communications materials. ad copy. concept overviews including leading all product naming initiatives for seasonal packaging. information materials on spelling usage, brand style and other legal specifications and updates files on a regular basis.
BA in English, Journalism, Marketing or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years beauty or fashion copywriting/marketing experience required
Minimum of 5-8 years copywriting experience with an emphasis in digital
Proofreading or copyediting experience
Excellent command of the English language required
Sense of humor appreciated
