As an Entertainment Group, we develop and produce compelling programming for broadcast on in addition to other television and digital platforms. We are responsible for all network primetime and late-night entertainment programming for the newtwork. Our viewing experience is enhanced through a variety of innovative and award-winning digital entertainment platforms, including the innovative app, and extends to more than 1,000 platform partners worldwide via Media Distribution.
The Sr. Content Producer will be a creative thinker and an all-around digital expert, working with the our Entertainment Digital Media team to create and program engaging video, digital destinations/channels, playlists, and editorial content to elevate key brands across multiple platforms. The Sr. Producer should be able to help lead a proven team and be able to communicate their editorial point of view. The producer will work extensively on creating a first-class video viewing experience focused on serving guests the most relevant and engaging videos that generate the most minutes viewed, incentivize return engagement and increasing average length of time spent across all current and emerging platforms / apps. The producer should be passionate about television and knowledgeable about digital viewership trends. The producer should be well-versed in working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders / collaborators to meet digital goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include video content sourcing and creation, editorial updates, site builds & platform maintenance, promotional copy, blog creation, and other duties as assigned. This individual will serve as a singular source of brand expertise for their assigned shows. Candidate should be a creative, ambitious, multi-tasker who can stay ahead of industry trends contributing to the development, and maintenance of all Entertainment new media activity. They should also be comfortable briefing, presenting or working with stakeholders of various levels and across multiple disciplines. The candidate will also be comfortable in fast-paced, deadline driven environments, working with live events and a constantly changing slate of IP and content. The position will be assigned shows across the Daytime, Late Night and Primetime dayparts. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Content.
Generate and program custom, video-focused content for digital platforms on an ongoing basis.
Work with various stakeholders to strengthen audience engagement, meeting performance goals and digital objectives.
Maintains a deep level of understanding on all assigned shows in order to effectively deliver engaging content.
Mentor and occasionally manage junior team members.
Examine performance data analytics and provide recommendations to improve and optimize video views and guest experience.
Actively participates in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to communicate best practices and find unique ways to promote ABC shows
Manage online content syndication including distribution of assets, supervision of the production calendar and copywriting
Work with Business Unit partners, including social and digital marketing teams to syndicate content into other channels when appropriate
Proven ability to create customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to a digital audience.
Minimum of three years experience in digital media with focus on consumer-facing media and/or creative production
CMS skills and experience; proven ability to learn and master new digital tools
Organized and detail oriented with exceptional sense of accountability
Expresses written ideas, thoughts, or facts in a clear, convincing, and organized way
Ability to juggle multiple projects, organizational abilities, and creative ideas in a fast paced environment
Passion for television and digital media with proven knowledge of pop culture and digital trends
Project management skills and experience
Video editing (Adobe Premiere preferred) & Photoshop skills and experience
