Sr. Communications Writer

Our client is looking for a Senior Communications Writer to work with various divisions of their company to outline, conceptualize, write and edit communication materials. This includes, but is not limited to, external and internal marketing communications [both printed and online], course materials, software products, and PR publications. As a writer, you must be persuasive and compelling. You must have experience writing for an executive audience and provide samples. Candidates who have not written for an executive audience will not be considered for this position.

Role/Responsibilities:
Consult with various departments to outline and develop effective communication strategies and messaging to meet business objectives, while maintaining the integrity of the company’s image and adhering to overall communications strategies and guidelines. This includes:
Collaborating with businesses to design and implement project objectives, suggesting alternative methods of communication to better achieve objectives
Partner with the businesses to create content topics, concepts, and outlines for a variety of communications materials
Participate in all content development meetings, as well as finalizing written content
Write, edit, and/or proof marketing communications, as well as create and maintain specific writing guidelines to establish consistent brand message
Regularly audit all corporate communications for accuracy, and consistent messaging and branding

Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years experience in B2B marketing writing; B2B services experience preferred.
Skilled in conceptualizing, generating, and editing corporate communications
Seasoned writer who has experience is a variety of communication mediums, with best practices on in how to generate communication materials within a corporate environment
Excellent writing and grammar skills following MLA, APA technical writing guidelines
Experience reviewing a variety of corporate communications to ensure accuracy before production/sending to clients or prospects (emails, brochures, sales sheets, website, invitations, bios, presentations, handouts, software product content, course content, social media and other online marketing, articles/white papers, conferences and event materials)
Capable of partnering with design teams to concept messaging that compliments design of deliverables
Ability to revise messaging to fit or enhance designs when needed
