Sr. Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst for a 6 month contract. This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications supporting various business channels. This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals. This position facilitates communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create requirement work products for solution providers. This role plans, directs and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved or product/services to be developed for delivery. Using Business Systems Analysis techniques, this role leads a collaborative effort in identifying, evaluating and capturing user requirements for changes to systems and procedures that are cost effective. This role assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis as well as cost/benefit analysis for system or product/service related initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with enterprise partners to develop IT system solutions that: support business strategies and goals; conform to technology design and implementation best practices; and optimize the user experience
- Lead the effort with technical and business partners to identify and document requirements for the development and implementation of internal systems; ensuring processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business needs and represent the best overall fit for the organization
- Partner with system integration teams and technical implementation partners to develop, define and trace technical requirements to support processes and system changes
- Lead effort to construct workflow charts and diagrams, document system capabilities and writing specifications
- Anticipate the needs of technical and business stakeholders affected by process change
- Facilitate activities with users to define and document use cases, scenarios and test scripts
- Co-lead design sessions to identify system and process gaps and opportunities
- Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues during the design and development process to ensure high quality results
- Manage requirements through the functional design, testing and implementation phases via a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Prepare and execute testing plans to ensure solution/design meet business requirements
- Create/deliver presentations on requirements and solution to internal partners and external customers for review and input
- Coach and mentor less experienced Business System Analysts
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, required
- Certificate or training in Business Analysis, preferred
- 10+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience supporting complex and technology laden projects, required
- Extensive demonstrated experience utilizing Business Systems Analysis techniques and methodologies including business process and system modeling, use case scenarios, and software testing strategies, required
- Strong knowledge of project management principles; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control projects ensuring the best utilization of technical resources, required
- Knowledge of system applications, software testing with the ability to design, plan and execute application testing strategies while ensuring software quality throughout all life cycle stages, required
- Strong Knowledge of application development tasks, deliverables, and application delivery methodologies in order to deliver new or enhanced applications, required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; including documenting business process, use cases and business requirements documentation, functional/technical specifications and test scripts/results, required
- Excellent business liaison skills with the ability to digest system complexity and articulate to business users in a concise and simple language, required
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, problem solving, negotiation, task and project coordination and organization skills, required
- Ability to apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems, required
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, required
- Must be able work effectively with staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects, required
- Ability to quickly learn the technical vendor landscape, business processes and IT operational structure preferred
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines imposed by rapid business growth, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadline, preferred
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team to support deadlines, preferred
- Ability to evaluate, define and prioritize projects and tasks, preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, some unstructured and non-routine requiring creative solutions, preferred
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
