Sr. Business Analyst

This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting privacy requirements for existing and new applications and business processes. This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines the privacy capabilities an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals. This position facilitates communication between organizational units to align the needs of business units in order to create privacy management processes focusing on effective risk management and data governance. This role plans, directs and completes the analysis of how to balance business needs with privacy requirements and organizational risk tolerance levels. This role leads a collaborative effort in identifying, evaluating and capturing privacy and data protection requirements for changes to systems and processes that are cost effective. This role assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis as well as cost/benefit analysis for system or product/service related initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with enterprise partners to develop privacy management processes that: support business strategies and goals; conform to technology design and implementation best practices; optimize the user experience; and integrate compliance requirements and industry best practices around data use and privacy.
- Lead efforts with technical and business partners to identify and document requirements for the development and implementation of internal systems; ensuring processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business needs and represent the best overall fit for the organization
- Partner with system integration teams and technical implementation partners to identify system or business process changes impacting data privacy.
- Lead effort to construct workflow charts and diagrams for ongoing privacy processes, document privacy capabilities and technical standards.
- Integrate key privacy requirements and checkpoints with existing business and IT processes, including the system design process, change management process, and IT third party assessment process.
- Anticipate the needs of technical and business stakeholders affected by process change or the evolving data privacy regulatory landscape.
- Facilitate activities with system owners, product managers, or other stakeholders to define, document, and implement privacy requirements which account for regulatory compliance, customer expectations, and industry leading practices.
- Co-lead design sessions to identify system and process gaps and opportunities to enhance customer privacy.
- Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues during the design and development process to ensure high quality results.
- Create/deliver presentations on privacy requirements and solutions to internal partners and external customers around customer notice, choice, and consent.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, required
- Certificate or training in Business Analysis, preferred
- 10+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience supporting complex and technology laden projects, required
- Extensive demonstrated experience utilizing Business Systems Analysis techniques and methodologies including business process and system modeling, use case scenarios, and software testing strategies, required
- Strong knowledge of project management principles; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control projects ensuring the best utilization of cross-divisional resources, required
- Strong Knowledge of application development tasks, deliverables, and application delivery methodologies in order to deliver new or enhanced applications, required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; including documenting business processes, business requirements documentation, and risk assessments, required
- Excellent business liaison skills with the ability to digest technological or regulatory complexity and articulate to business users in a concise and simple language, required
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, problem solving, negotiation, task and project coordination and organization skills, required
- Ability to apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems, required
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, required
- Must be able work effectively with staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects, required
- Experience facilitating process improvement sessions using Lean methodologies, preferred
- Ability to quickly learn the technical vendor landscape, business processes and IT operational structure preferred
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines imposed by rapid business growth, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadline, preferred
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team to support deadlines, preferred
- Ability to evaluate, define and prioritize projects and tasks, preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, some unstructured and non-routine requiring creative solutions, preferred
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
