Sr. Business Analyst

Our client, financially stable, well established and reputable in the automotive captive finance industry is looking for a Sr. BA to be a part of their Systems Innovations - Projects Team.

The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for the successful implementation of projects for our client. This includes: managing and supporting projects through the project lifecycle, building business cases, recommending and implementing business processes and/or system solutions, gathering and documenting business requirements, contributing to scope and design sessions, conducting system test and UAT, supporting project rollouts, providing user support, and user training. This position requires collaboration with IT and business.

The ideal candidate will possess: BA/BS degree, MBA is a plus. Ideally eight or more years of experience in project environment, mostly as a business analyst in captive finance, financial services, and/or banking environment. Seasoned Business Analyst with some experience as a Project Manager is a plus. Must be self-motivated with strong analytical and organizational skills. Must have ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Prior experience in a team environment and the ability to interface with all levels of management needed.

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

1. Business Analyst (80%)
- Analyze current business situations and areas of opportunities.
- Develop business case and recommend solutions.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Ensure business requirement interpretation by solution designers will meet business needs and expectations.
- Lead, oversee, and perform User Acceptance Testing.
- Support the implementation of business change.
2. Project Management (20%) - Manage and support projects throughout Project Lifecycle including: initiation, scoping, design, development, implementation and warranty.

Knowledge and Skills
1. Become the business requirement expert, and make sure the business requirements are interpreted correctly. This will require strong communication skill combined with experience as a business analyst.
2. Develop screen and/or report mock-up
3. Become the project information expert in order to support the project
a. Draft and/or modify customer letters
b. Draft client internal operating procedures
c. Draft and/or support development of communication and training
4. Develop test plan and test scripts
5. Lead the business project team to complete an assignment or a task
6. Create and execute implementation and rollout plan

• Knowledge of automotive leasing a plus
• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) – The CCBA designation is a professional certification for business analysis practitioners who want to be recognized for their expertise and skills by earning formal recognition. With at least 3750 hours of hands-on business analysis experience, they have developed essential BA skills.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) – The CBAP designation is a professional certification for individuals with extensive business analysis experience. With at least 7500 hours of hands-on BA experience, CBAP® recipients are the elite, senior members of the BA community.
• Project Management experience
