Aquent has an immediate need for a Sr. Brand Manager! This is a 6 month role starting!
As the Senior Brand Manager, you will be reporting directly into the VP of Marketing and will serve as the "general manage" of the brand. You will oversee day-to-day and long term development of the business, including new product launches and consumer facing communication

  • Strong understanding of consumer attitudes and trends within the fashion arena with the ability to translate opportunities for Style marketing programs and product development

  • Passion for the business: demonstrated experience in building a business with a spirited sense of ownership
  • Financial Prowess: possesses a full understanding of the impact of activities on the P&L (Net Revenue, Gross Margin, Profit)
  • Consumer Orientation: demonstrates an aptitude for understanding the psychology of consumer behavior to capitalize on trends in brand product development, marketing promotion activity, and shopping habits (channel/ merchandising).
  • Brand Equity Orientation: ability to capitalize on expressed consumer interests & behavior to build a desired consumer experience through brand association.
  • Sales Knowledge: experience in working with retailers to interpret their needs, evaluate opportunities, and manage a retailer’s agenda within the brand’s long-term objectives.
  • Managerial Leadership Qualities: demonstrated ability to handle complexity and multiple priorities, demonstrated history in taking initiative, a clear communicator, leadership by example work ethic, team management skills (direct reports, cross-functional, & with senior management)


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage long term strategic planning and annual brand planning for the Style business; identify opportunities to further develop the brand’s fashion credibility and relevance with target audience.
  • Manage Media, PR and Digital strategy: key agency contact with all agencies, media planning, press and consumer events, leverage fashion spokesperson and blogger partners, work with agencies and creative team to develop videos and other content for digital and social media.
  • Drive the development of global through the line creative for new product launches and updates of current campaigns.
  • Develop and execute a process for consumer insight and trend gathering that supports a relevant NPD pipeline and helps client gain credibility with retailers. This includes reviewing sales data for existing portfolio identifying opportunities for line extensions and gaps in existing product lines, and highlighting macro trends that should be infused into seasonal collections.
  • Commercialize New Product Launches: financial analysis, market launch plans
  • Manage the existing Style business: pos performance analysis, pricing strategy, competitive analysis, sku optimization, coordination and interaction with Sales and Supply Chain.
