Sr. Apparel Graphic Designer

This position is responsible for researching trends, ideation of new concepts and creating compelling graphics to meet the brand aesthetic. The role works with the graphics team to ensure that each placed graphic or print meets the categories product brief and the seasonal design direction set by the Creative Director and Senior Management team.



Key Accountabilities:

  • Sketch placed graphic and prints and produce line art to communicate design concepts, including multiple views and detail sketches as necessary
  • Provide design/concept boards to communicate design and seasonal direction.
  • Create supporting artwork that illustrate design concepts and tell stories to the Marketing, Merchandising and Sales teams
  • Work with the category to understand market needs and design to product briefs and cost
  • Keep abreast of market trends and consumer needs
  • Create and maintain all art files and transfer correct information to cross functional teams and graphic designers in international design centers
  • Provide print artwork to the materials team for strike offs and prototypes
  • Provide tech packs and other materials to hand off to development for sampling and manufacturing
  • Attend and contribute in fit and prototype review sessions
  • Research new graphic techniques and applications that can be used in seasonal product
  • Partner with Apparel, Footwear and Accessories designers to ensure that graphic stories and individual graphics/prints enhance the product aesthetic and fit with the overall design
  • Meet calendar deadlines and deliverables




    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills
  • Strong team player as well as the ability to work independently
  • Ability to mulit-task and good time management skills
  • Ability to research trends in fashion and culture and translate how that applies to footwear and apparel graphics and the brand
  • Understanding of various graphic techniques and their application to footwear, apparel and accessories (bags, sox, hats)
  • Knowledge of various methods to achieve the desired outcome of repeat patterns, screen printed graphics, placed graphics, burn-outs, etc.
  • Ability to represent in technical drawings the graphic application and an understanding of production techniques on how to best achieve the desired graphic look
  • Ability to respond quickly to multiple projects with strong time management skills
