Our DC-based client is an award-winning, national marketing communications agency that is looking for a Sr. Account Manager.

Our client is seeking an energetic and “out-of-the-box” thinker to join their expanding staff. We are looking for a Sr. Account Manager with a passion for the industry, proficiency in using social media to deliver content and a good sense of humor. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in an agency servicing and handling multiple accounts. Someone with exceptional judgment and understanding of client service, quality deliverables, impactful writing, managing audio and video production and deadlines. The candidate must successfully handle multiple tasks, manage staff, and meet/exceed client goals to bring demonstrated value to the clients.

Basic Qualifications
Must have excellent writing, researching and media relations skills and the ability to work well with senior and jr.staff. They must also understand how to repackage produced content for use in social media and online, and write winning proposals.

The Sr. Account Executive will:
• Serve as a daily client contact or supervise a staffer
• Demonstrate proficient writing/editing skills for client correspondence, press releases & media alerts, media relations, plans, new business proposals, executive briefs, social media content, etc.
• Understand how to produce and repackage audio and video content (pitched and placed) to reach a client’s target demographics
• Exercise excellent judgment when dealing with clients and colleagues
• Mentor staff and understand and imbue a sense of urgency on deliverables
• Demonstrate practical and advanced understanding of social media and directly incorporate this expertise into winning client proposals and programs
• Draw on experience and/or interest in consumer/healthcare sectors
• Manage and work on projects at the same time, be able to prioritize deadlines and provide regular program updates/reports to senior leadership and clients
• Find qualified vendors, negotiate with vendors and keep budgets on track
