Sr. Account Director

This is a rare, contract-to-hire opportunity to join an agency working with major CPG brands as a very Senior level Account Director. This is a fun, casual environment where people collaborate freely and are relentless about great customer service.

In this position you will:
- Partner with creative and strategy teams to provide brand consultation, perspective, and recommendations to clients.
- Manage and develop meaningful client relationships
- Provide fiscal management for assigned business
- Train, mentor and motivate team members
- Seek out opportunities for business expansion while growing existing accounts.
- Provide clients with distinct point-of-view on marketing, creative strategies, target audience, competitive set, trends, and opportunities for building brand awareness, competitive point of difference, and relevance with target audience.
- Develop category analyses and market audits to provide a clear perspective to support creative direction.
- Recommend process/techniques for creative development, research, brand segmentation, improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships
- Manage brand and project teams to deliver highest standards of excellence in service, strategic consultation, creativity and professionalism.
- Serve as the direct contact liaison between the client and creative, strategic and production teams.
- Receive and provide all client direction, questions, and relevant information to teams.
- Drive and influence the project process from initial briefing through implementation.
- Develop comprehensive and inspirational creative briefs with appropriate timelines.
- Inspire creative teams to maximize the effectiveness and appropriateness of creative work.
- Ensure alignment with creative brief, account strategy, and understanding of client issues.
- Determine "readiness" of work for client presentations with the senior creative and strategy teams.
- Ensure smooth transition of the creative/strategic process to the production process.
- Organize content, flow and materials with Design Director to create a compelling, thought-provoking presentation and representation
- Provide guidance to Account Directors, [Senior] Account Managers and/or Account Coordinators on branding disciplines, client service methods, protocol, tactics, industry terminology, and process.
- Serve as a mentor to Account Directors, [Senior] Account Managers and/or Account Coordinators providing reviews, short-term and long-term goals.
- Motivate team by providing a stimulating work experience, opportunities for growth and advancement.
- Influence Company culture and drives values and principals.
- Develop proposals, budgets, and reconciliations for all project activity on assigned accounts.
- Review financial performance against approved fee and expense budget.
- Manage project deliverables and requests addendums for out of scope work.
- Submit invoice requests, review/approves invoices, and tracks receivables.
- Manage individual financial targets, as specified by the VP Client Services/General Manager/Managing Partners.
- Identify new business opportunity within existing/lapse clients.
- Pitch/Present new business opportunities with the Biz Dev Group.
- Develop case studies, biz dev decks, proposals and answers RFIs.

You should have:
- Strong project management and brand consultation skills
- Solid experience developing strategy for/with clients
- Strong team management and mentoring skills
- Initiative
- Solid analytical skills
- Strong time management skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- 8 - 12 years of related experience
- Strong background in client relationship building and team leadership
- Experience directly managing others
- Ability to present effectively to Senior clients and internal teams
- Ability to manage, drive and develop multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Confidence and ability as a strong team leader
- Agency expereince a big plus
