Sports Fashion Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for executing the social content plan. This person will work directly with the Digital and Brand Managers to define the social editorial calendar for key initiatives, and manage the day-to-day of social communities. He/She must have a passion for style and be well versed in the vernacular of the consumer.


Key Accountabilities:
• Effectively execute the social media strategy set forth by the Digital Manager
• Manage the day-to-day of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
• Partner with larger team to create effective editorial calendars and post plans specific to each social platform
• Coordinate US social calendar with global social calendar.
• Listen, respond, moderate and engage with consumers in key social communities
• Build a quality community based on brand strategy and guidelines
• Monitor and record discussion trends in order to identify opportunities to shape brand communications
• Report on qualitative and quantitative trends happening within social platforms
• Monitor social and digital trends and apply insights to social media strategy
• Mange social process documents including timelines, content calendars and status sheets

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of the social media ecosystem and understanding how to effectively manage a social community
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills to develop relevant post plans to for
• Ability to understand the Brand Tone and translate that into effective social posts that drive engagement
• Advanced creative writing experience
• Excellent project management skills with ability to create project plans and manage through seamless execution
• Ability to work with a cross-functional team to guide development of editorial calendar
• Analytical expertise in assessing social media trends and campaign analysis
• Ability to adapt, learn quickly and be resourceful
• Experience using social media analytics & publishing tools (e.g. Sysosmos / Buddy Media / Facebook Insights / Twitter Ads)
• Passionate and knowledge of style, sneaker culture and industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):
• BA in marketing, advertising or related field required.
• Minimum two (2) years of social marketing experience, preferably with a sporting or consumer goods company or equivalent account management experience at an agency
• Experience in social media is required
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree

Time Commitment:
• Up to 40 hours per week
