Software Trials Analyst

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing software trial reporting and insights development. The position calls for a strategic thinker who can provide the business and marketing team with actionable insights based on detailed analyses, user segmentation, targeting and data mining. The analyst will consult with the Web Marketing and BU trial teams to understand their analytical needs and will interface with the database reporting team for any changes to existing reporting and new report requests.

Responsibilities
• Provide integrated analytical solutions across customers and channels to improve decision-making for the Web and BU trial teams.
• Collaborate with partners to understand and document critical business needs for improved usability of data in support of analytic projects and communication objectives, e.g., segmentation strategies and tactics, reporting and tracking needs.
• Analyze user activities and develop user segmentation and methodologies that support software trial conversion programs.
• Utilize expert knowledge of business data and website usage to drive requirements for improved targeting and analytics.
• Provide campaign reporting, insights and recommendations to BUs on a regular basis.
• Discover new paths for growth by uncovering untapped marketing opportunities.

Requirements
• Job requires a bachelor degree and extensive practical experience in analyzing marketing data
• 5-10 years of experience in database marketing using sophisticated database management and market intelligence software to build customer profiles/segmentation, mine the customer database to create actionable insights / reporting and optimize ongoing programs.
• Self-starter, with a curiosity to explore data and bring novel approaches to quickly solving business problems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to speak the language of Marketing, Sales and IT in order to translate requirements and manage the analysis and reporting from a strategic perspective.
• Must be flexible, able to balance multiple projects concurrently and enjoy a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively while setting priorities with business stakeholders; manage cross-departmental relationships.
• Firm understanding and experience with CRM, marketing automation tools (eg. Eloqua/Aprimo), database architecture, Microsoft Excel, and other systems and tools associated with accessing, analyzing and visually presenting data to a variety of audiences.
• Strong project management skills required
• Strong SAS, SQL programming and data processing experience required.
• Online marketing analysis experience a plus.
