Software Project Manager

Software Project Managers are fully accountable for software deliverables throughout the development life cycle. They are responsible for overseeing planning, development, requirements gathering, specifications, test plans, test execution, issue triage, risk management, and communication to the business unit. Heavy emphasis on the ability to understand the technical intricacies of each deliverable to be managed along with extensive software debugging, project management, and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities are as follows:
• Coordinate activities necessary to complete long lead time activities such as certifications and brand-verification testing
• Coordinate appropriate debug and troubleshooting to quickly determine best course for problem ownership and resolution.
• Help define and comply with project standards, schedules, and processes related to producing a high quality deliverable.
• Verify that the technical design specifications, including functional specifications and test plans, have been correctly fulfilled.
• Work closely with developers to ensure design compliance and operating system compatibility with system and platform specific applications.
• Work closely with test leads and test organization to ensure that test plans sufficiently exercise all use cases, including general, corner case and ad-hoc scenarios, to provide a high quality user experience.
• Be the subject matter expert of owned deliverables and the user experience/interface.
• Advise management in long-range planning for emerging technologies.
• Be able to clearly and concisely communicate deliverable design theory, and specific implementation choices executed.
• Contribute to the development of innovated principles and ideas, and provide highly innovative solutions.
• Lead cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organizations tactical goals.
• Concurrently manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Work equally well as part of a high performance team.
• Provide full documentation and specifications for all responsible output deliverables.
