Aquent's client, an American multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products, is seeking a Social Strategist for a 7–month assignment. In this assignment, you will be working with a group of data analysts, designers, writers, digital marketers, and strategists working within a Marketing team tasked with shaping and delivering—seamlessly and in real-time—the consumer, industry, and marketing insights that customers need to win on the web. Their ambition, simply defined: put client data and insights into the heart and start of all marketing. The Role You will be working at the forefront of a revolution in marketing—a shift from traditional ads to personalized, relevant and engaging formats. Through social channels, emails, site and other channels, the team shares real-time insights, research, data, and perspectives on the evolving landscape for marketers today. With a focus on what’s top of mind for executives at large advertisers and agencies, they aim to help customers understand how they can make the web work for their businesses. At the heart of our value proposition to large advertisers and agencies is industry-leading content and insights from client's unique point of view. You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, analyzing, and iterating our social activities. Partnering with editorial and Audience Growth, you will prepare, publish, and analyze all posts on team’s social channels, with a focus on using innovative tactics, deep user knowledge and data-driven insights to improve performance. Overall Responsibilities: - Propose and implement new data taxonomies to gain actionable insights into post performance - Harness social listening and other tools (including Google Analytics, Sprinklr and Crimson Hexagon) to gain insights into post performance, audience interests, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and tactics for growth - Propose and execute innovative tactics and data-driven tests to increase social performance - Review past post performance and propose opportunities for re-promotion and post repurposing - Propose and implement a system to migrate data from existing data library to new data library Top 3 daily responsibilities: 1. Prepare and publish all posts across team's social channels, including managing the publishing calendar and building links 2. Compile data across several social media platforms and create weekly/monthly reports 3. Develop data-driven analysis for insights, optimizations, and future strategy development Required Skills - BA Degree, no specific area of study required - 2+ years experience as a social strategist at a creative, digital agency or digital publisher - In-depth experience creating, publishing and analyzing both organic and paid posts on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, G+, Instagram - Fluency in Excel or Google Sheets - Strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to execute according to plan and deliver measurable results - Experience and skills in collecting, planning, analyzing, and interpreting a diversity of data structures (including: Google Analytics, Sprinklr and Crimson Hexagon) - Deep knowledge of and fascination with emerging trends, tools, and tactics in social media - Excellent collaboration skills and a team mindset Nice to have: - Experience with basic statistical programming packages (e.g. R, matlab) - Strong written and communication skills - Proven strong organizational, analytical, and independent problem-solving skills, as well as outstanding written and oral communication skills - Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
