JOB TITLE: Manager, Social Paid Media

This is an exciting contract opportunity to work on Paid media campaigns in the Social Media space for eBay! This is initially a 5-month contract (contract extension TBD) based in San Jose. Candidates must be able to sit on-site in at the eBay campus in San Jose - sorry, remote candidates cannot be considered.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute all components of paid social campaigns including creative, targeting parameters, bidding strategy, landing page, tracking set up, and day to day optimization and reporting.
• Analyze marketing campaign performance to identify, prioritize, and execute on opportunities for improvement in marketing effectiveness.
• Partner with publishing arm of the team to optimize posts for paid media sponsorship, including generating new posts for real-time trending topic opportunities for paid media
• Partner with Social Analytics team to derive actionable insights to improve performance, conversion rates, and lifetime customer value.
• Identify new and emerging social trends and capabilities to improve program performance.
• Collaborate with other members of the marketing team for cross-channel knowledge sharing and efficiency gains.
• Partner with internal and external teams to develop planning and execution processes to streamline operations and drive future scale.
• Build and nurture a collaborative team culture across a core and distributed organization, focusing on high performance standards, trust, and shared success

Job Requirements:
• Proficiency in managing and optimizing online marketing campaigns.
• Solid understanding of the social media universe, particularly Facebook & Twitter.
• Knowledge of display industry standards, best practices, and key industry metrics.
• Marketing technology savvy and comfortable using varied campaign management tools.
• Strong project management skills for end to end execution of programs and campaigns.
• Inspired when working with large and complex datasets to identify performance opportunities, draw meaningful conclusions about root causes, devise scalable solutions, recommend implementation strategies, and measure outcomes
• Must have strong quantitative experience and skill set, working directly in finance or analytics roles preferred, be highly analytical, curious, and structured in exploring and interpreting data
• Must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, be a highly-motivated self-starter, flourish on a multi-cultural team, and have a brilliant sense of humor
• Creative thinking and strong independent motivation are essential to this role, as are solid communication, project management, and prioritization skills
• Ability to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives as primary project sponsor
• Strong team player, passionate about driving effective communication, building consensus, and fostering teamwork
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Must be confident and comfortable presenting to an executive audience
• 4+ years of online consumer marketing experience with a leading e-commerce company or in a consumer internet environment. 1+ year extensive personal and professional experience with social media preferred.
