Social Media Strategist and PM

Our healthcare client ,located in Portland, OR has an immediate need for a contract Social Media Strategis and Project Manager.
The ideal candidate will help our client revamp and expand their social media function. This role requires the ability to execute social media tactics while helping to define resources and roles needed to establish a high performing social media capability. The social media function will be woven together with a message strategy, community relations, public relations, and staff activation around healthcare initiatives.

Essential Functions:
• Project leadership: Lead coordinators/cross functional team members to manage creation of on-time, on-brand, on-budget projects and tactics.
• Tactical Leadership: Apply expertise in social media, digital strategy, writing, graphics, photography and video to support the advancement of strategic programs.
• Initiate project work through the creation of creative briefs, strategic messaging documents and cross-team kick-off meetings.

Basic Qualifications
• Five years of experience in an integrated communications department, advertising or public relations agency.
• Recent experience participating in the planning and implementation of a complex communications plan/project for a large complex organization or agency.
• Experience with earned and social media.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to work influentially with a wide range of internal and external constituencies.
• Ability to work professionally and confidently with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and decision making skills.
• Proven project management skills.
