In-house marketing department is looking to add a new position...Social Media Strategist. Explore the opportunity to plan, develop, and maintain current and new communications efforts, using social media marketing outlets, and make recommendations to regarding the use of current and emerging social outlets. Candidate will serve as a representative for various Company endeavors in the online community, Twitter, Facebook etc. Lead and manage the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy to improve company visibility via social media channels.

Position Responsibilities:
• Manages multiple projects relating to the effective use of social media. Provide updates and reviews to management at various levels to educate and inform about social media activities, policies, competition, and achievements.
• Evaluates and implements social media policies and strategies for the company by working with selected social media agencies and corporate/distribution staff.
• Represent Company as a primary contact for selected social media agencies and distributors for all issues pertaining to social media content and strategies.
• Work closely with other social media committees within Company, keeping them informed of latest developments and coordinating the execution of various social media projects. Coordinate meetings of these committees ensuring consensus.
• Coordinate social media content development with marketing communications and promotional communications projects and editorial calendar.
• Coordinate implementation and execution of a social media-training program and the accreditation of official social media engagers.
• Enhance return on investment and track improvement in results, leveraging SEO agency reports and internal tracking tools
• Develop and execute a well-thought on-site strategy including improvement of internal linking, site structure, and other relevant tactics.
• Implement industry-wide “best practices” and ensure clear documentation and guidance is provided to the right areas within the organization.

Requirements:
• 4 year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of related business experience in marketing or social media marketing.
• Must have proficient ability to use social media software such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
• Proficiency with social media measurement tools and ability to analyze results and provide recommendations
• Strong understanding of technical SEO skills, including ability to evaluate and modify HTML, CSS and JavaScript for SEO purposes.
• Utilize keyword research, density analysis, reporting and link building tools (e.g., SEOMoz, KeywordDiscovery, etc.)
