Social Media Specialist

The Community Manager will have expert knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants. Using this knowledge they will liaise with the business to develop content ideas and source required material, including assisting Marketing with the development of campaigns, and help train broader stakeholders in social. They will be responsible for managing day to day social activities, launching and monitoring content, preparing reports on social activity/insights and developing growth of our clients social communities across all key platforms.

Reporting into the Head of Social Media & Content, this is a wonderful opportunity for an individual with a demonstrable track record of success in a similar role, ideally within a large, matrix organisation, who is looking for an opportunity to help shape the development and growth of the social media journey within a industry leading organisation.

The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
• Monitoring content and customer enquiries on a daily basis to ensure customer satisfaction and manage our clients reputation
• Developing the growth of our clients social communities across all key platforms
• Creating compelling content calendars to increase user engagement, traffic and conversation
• Liaising with stakeholders across the business to develop content ideas and source required material
• Liaising with creative and digital agencies to execute social content and campaigns
• Assisting marketing and sales teams with the development of campaigns
• Providing social review services for the organisation
• Creating content for various channels as required
• Preparing reports on social activity, insights and performance
• Researching and monitoring social media best practice from around the world to ensure our client delivers a superior customer experience

The key skills required for this role include:

• Degree educated within Marketing or Communications
• A significant level of experience and demonstrable ability and passion for social media and content production
• Expert knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants
• Ability to write engaging content and manage social media platforms
• Proven track record of building audiences and engagement
• Compiling social reports and drawing actionable insights from metrics
• Use of sophisticated social technology to manage online communities and content
• Ability to work autonomously as well as being a team player, with strong attention to detail and capability to work to tight deadlines
• Experience managing the workflow of other team members
• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills
• Creative with a keen eye for producing professional quality work
• Excellent understanding of cost-effective use of paid media to increase engagement and ROI across platforms
