Social Media Specialist

Job Overview
Our client is seeking a creative, analytical and strategic individual to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion through social initiatives. The position will utilize a combination of social network management, community engagement, viral marketing, and on site opportunities, to drive social strategy. Successful candidates will possess a deep understanding of social media tactics and strategies, along with experience in overall online marketing. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and be responsible for creating and executing strategies in a fast-paced, high-volume environment across multiple marketing channels.

Position Responsibilities:
-Oversee all social media platforms from ideation, to content creation to implementation, management and reporting
-Budget, forecast, analyze and report on pertinent customer revenue, orders and marketing expenses
-Drive compelling multi-platform social strategy, designed to accomplish larger corporate objectives
-Conceive, create and execute innovative marketing campaigns to deliver revenue growth, customer retention, and increased consumer engagement and sales through multiple channels
-Manage and develop a team of individual contributors; responsible for direction, coordination and evaluation of the team
-Identify and create programs and promotions to grow membership and engagement within the social media and community space that align with corporate objectives
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and time management
-Partner with other departments to know incoming product lines as well as provide timely reporting and analytical understanding of campaign results
-Develop and manage third party relationships in the sewing, craft and hobby categories
-Identify and own emerging platforms strategy and execution
-Develop unique marketing programs that will reinforce the client's brand in becoming the leader in online shopping in their industry

Basic Qualifications
-The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field required
-3 + years of concentrated experience with all forms of digital marketing including mobile, social media, social commerce and display; proven ability to significantly drive engagement and conversion
-Multi-tasker who is well organized, with impeccable written and oral presentation skills
-Strong analytical capability with experience in forecasting and website analytics
-Excellent project management skills
-Creative thinker who can be both innovative while execution oriented
-3+ years managing employees
-Understanding of Windows XP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer
-Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
-Knowledge in web analytical tools: Google, CoreMetrics, Omniture, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
-Ecommerce/Retail experience
-Able to work in an ambiguous, 'internet-speed' environment
-Strong oral (speaking, listening, interpretation) and written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence management
-High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
-Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
