Vitamin T's client is a full-service advertising agency located in Culver City, CA. We are currently seeking a full-time Social Media Specialist to be responsible for developing and executing strategic social media initiatives.

The Social Media specialist will report directly to the Media Director. He/she will be responsible for integrating concepts and ideas with the media, creative, interactive and account teams to ensure social marketing efforts are implemented effectively – on strategy, on budget and on time according to client objectives. This candidate will utilize market intelligence to develop plans and evaluate social media activity as it relates to performance metrics -- providing detailed reports and insights.

The right candidate will have a degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, 3+ years in a marketing function or within an advertising agency, experience navigating the ever-changing social network ecosystem, and a strong familiarity with online marketing best practices.

Social Media Specialist duties include:

- Develop comprehensive social media strategies and social marketing programs that amplify creative ideas as well as deliver on key client business KPIs.
- Bring deep knowledge and insight into the modern Social Media landscape (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, etc.). Specialize in targeted social advertising.
- Be effective at working with a broad range of clients, partners, vendors both inside and outside the agency.
- Bring expertise to the practice of Paid Social Advertising. Utilize 3rd and 1st party data to target key demographics with social media campaigns.
- Help integrate best practices for Social Media, industry standards and policies, and rules of engagement throughout agency departments.
- Work with agency clients to explore and identify ways to integrate social media into business strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Apply marketing research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends/technologies and communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely to departments within the agency.
- Create and consolidate all dashboard data into reports to provide insights and results.

Social Media Specialist desired skills and experience include:

- BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university.
- 3+ years marketing experience, with a clear track record of success.
- Expertise on the constantly changing Social Media landscape (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, etc.).
- Knowledge of Paid Search and SEM campaigns with experience and knowledge of Google AdWords
- Ability to effectively communicate complex and technical theory and information in an understandable manner.
- Strong technical background with advanced computer skills.
- Data, analytics, and metrics oriented; experience with online monitoring and measurement dashboards.
- A solid understanding of ethical search engine optimization techniques.
- Experience with creating and identifying quality social media content related to consumer electronics and health/fitness is preferred.
- Extremely strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for the social technology universe.
- A problem-solver who anticipates issues and provides proactive solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; demonstrates resourcefulness.
- Exercises good judgment and acts with decorum.
